and a lot of corporations have policies about not being allowed to work overtime. Salaried people don't get overtime pay for working outside of prescribed working hours. they may begrudgingly give time in lieu but that's not really a good way to compensate people.

The letters are always heavily scripted. They could have always pre-translated everything well ahead of time with images of the slides and just had someone at the show who was working post it on the forums immediately after everything concluded.

Lol no they're not. Instead of heavily scripted I think you mean they have bullet points to follow. Not an actual word by word script like a Nintendo Direct or E3 reading off a teleprompter. There's been times when Yoshi has gone back on a slide to add something of note or will over-talk in detail.

And who is "we"? There are others in this thread who are quite alright with how things turned out.
