Queueing for housing

The way we purchase housing currently is completely absurd. We have to sit there in hopes of clicking on the house at the exact right time with the 30 players standing next to you with their keyboard macros just doing all the work for them. Would it be possible to queue players? Possibly a list we can sign up on for housing. When a house becomes available it can email/message us in game with 24 hrs to respond. Pay the gil and get a house. No hassle. No unfairness (as long as players are limited to one house). This would be very helpful on full/crowded servers.

If everyone that wanted a house was both given a house and a full 24 hours to decide on that, you’d likely never actually see a house. Unless you logged in on patch day and was one of the first to sign up. But that’s basically how the old system was set up.
The fact is you have an equal chance at a house now, rather than be put on an ungodly long list of applicants.

This isn't a whole lot different than an auction/lottery system like I've seen proposed before. The chances on a high pop server (or any server in some cases) might be slim as things currently stand, but they would be even worse with systems based either on spending the most, rushing to get in line or just plain getting lucky.
