Let alts be able to share personal housing.
I would like to see the feature of letting alts share your personal housing lot ether via being able to friend them or anyway possible, since we are limited to 1 personal house per server / character.

They did tell us last year that it is something they want to make happen because of the current one personal house per server limit but they didn't know when they'd be able to overcome some technical hurdles involved. They weren't specific about what those hurdles are. Best guess is it has to do in part with tenancy requiring a character to be on the owner's friends list but we can't make our alts friends of each other.
We can only hope they'll have an update for us during one of the upcoming live letters.
The issue there is, well..
The game doesn't register you as account-based. It registers you as character-based. It's why you don't share gil or mounts or progression in any capacity. To make personal housing shared with alternate characters -on- the same account, then two things would need to occur.
1) A complete rework on how the game reads and manages data, implementing a new "Account ID" reader to verify what you should have / can do.
2) A complete rework of the Tenant system, allowing your alts to be deemed as 'owners' without breaking the system, as it can only hold a maximum of 3 unique Character IDs at present.
All in all, it sounds rather simple, but I have no clue what computer code XIV uses, let alone the algorithms and ciphers they have in place to encrypt data-packets across servers. It COULD be done, but it could also be too much hassle to put resources in to.
If the game can determine that I can't buy a house on character B because I already own one on character A - which the game clearly can - then it already knows if two characters belong to the same account or not.The issue there is, well..

So, that part is already done.
There was a bug a couple of years back that allowed people to put alts on their friendlist, so I'm sure there are a lot of people sharing houses with alts, and it obviously hasn't broken anything. I think it is more of an issue that they see other issues arising from people being allowed to be-friend alt characters. The issue there is, well..

Well, darn. You got me there. Okay, fair enough. Just a tenant rework.
There is a way to add your alt on your friend list and therefore tenant your own alt. Please spend some time with google research. It is not something should be post here
Last I heard, the exploit that players had been using was finally blocked by SE unless a new one has been found.
Either way, it's not something players should have to resort to using to get their alts as tenants when it's not something that can be openly discussed in the official forums, nor should you be encouraging others to google for exploits.
SE needs to provide a way for players to do it within official game functions.
