I don't recall anyone claiming that. Everyone has their own reasons to pick which character they like and this is absolutely fine.

For me, I wanted to play as Viera since FF12 and FF Tactics. Since I switched from playing female characters to playing male characters in MMOs, I hope that the male Vieras find their way into FF14 sooner or later.

To be fair, people have accused me of such a thing and worse before this hrothgar-bara thing was brought up. So some of those people did start it first. Don't act like they didn't.

If people are going to claim that Viera were intended for that sole purpose (which they did), it's hardly shocking to hear people (like myself) express much the same view of Hrothgar.

It's not really a fair assessment of how either race is used in general, but it certainly applies in both cases, and I find it odd that the bunny women get singled out for it or that it is claimed that Viera should not be added because it's just for ERP, when we see both races being used in that way, as if it is relevant.

I don't see why my post vanished but I presume it was to do with what was being quoted, so I will re-state it - neither race adds anything I deem particularly novel or interesting in their present implementation, but all the same I would have rather they added one at a time in a complete form and prioritised char customisation/texture upgrades over that.

What they instead did is a poorly executed rush job.

Anything can be used for everything. That's why most excuses are senseless...
Like Young adults, their excuse of "showing Young adults in pain or suffering is bad..." well... Ryne and le twins do fell on this scene.
Not that showing anyone in pain or suffering is cool. :/
But in the end the perversity of some, do bring chaos to all worlds.

I love the Viera and Hrothgars so far, and calling it unfinished or half baked is, imo, rude.
I like both and think that they got great rooms for improvements.
I don't like most head gears, so if they work the hairstyles (bought/event) for me it's a very welcome and fair service.
