The state of healers is affecting everyone

Odly enough when it’s tank in need I still get insta queue on healer. When it’s tank in need and I go tank I always have to wait, sometimes I’m 20 in line. I still don’t understand how that algorithme works.

I'm pretty sure when it asks for [role] it's actually seeking a [role] of a specific level to build a party for whoever is at the front of the "queued for a specific dungeon" line. So if that party needs a tank for the Lv79 dungeon, tank will stay in need until a Lv79 tank joins the queue - and if ten lower-level tanks and zero healers join the roulette queue in the meanwhile, they're waiting on a healer to be partnered with, but tank is still "in need" for a different reason entirely. As soon as a healer joins the roulette, they'd be paired with one of those waiting tanks immediately.

they're not, actually. while their raw healing is fine, their rDPS does not make up for their lack of DPS.

People talk about healers being boring to play but I find that on tanks. I was leveling my PLD yesterday and I had a lot of trouble staying awake during each dungeon. All I need to do is stand there getting hit while all the interesting things happen to everyone else.

I have yet to find this boring healer stuff.

Healers and Tanks have both become quite boring to play in my opinion. I can’t tell you the amount of times I just spaced out playing as my DRK, there’s literally nothing left to manage that requires my brain to be like “oh yes we need to optimize this.”

to be honest ive always found WHM and AST boring with there DPS
if anythings ast is a bit better now with Gravity a little early
while i always found scholar more fun it was a bit of a drag when energy drain was gone now its back i don't really have any issues with SCH that can be fixed in a patch

it was nice to to spread dots but dots really don't add much to gameplay for me

Nothing to do with ShB. Tanks have always been this way to me ever since I started back in HW.

You mean you don't dodge out of aoe/mechanics, use mitigation tools or interrupt casts as a tank?

Let's say we need to reuse assets for the proposal to be considered.
My suggestions would be...

WHM: amdapori winged lion statue
SCH: tonberry or big tome/fairy
AST: idk, add some rings to an ozma-like globe?

I dunno... For PF, I feel like DPS always fill first then either healers or tanks depending on the fight.
In DF I think I see tanks in need more often than healers but it could also be a server thing.

Really? Huh, I always really enjoyed DRK in HW. It wasn’t perfect, but I always felt like I needed to pay attention to what I was doing. Now I feel like I can turn my brain off entirely and still play optimally.

I’d agree if it wasn’t for the fact that they gutted the DPS tool kit on Scholar (my healing main). Sure you still need to manage everyone’s health, but that isn’t a full time job so a good chunk of that time is filled in by spamming Art of War and Broil. Man I miss bane.
