Thanks, but they got resized to 1600x900 by tinypic :/Here you go! I actually took a few of the moon from different angles I'm using as my PC wallpaper right now. The original picture's from my lodestone blog I made about it so that's why the original is smaller. The ones added below are 1920x1080. Just right click it and choose "View Image" depending on your browser to see the original.

That's cool and all, but you've used scroll lock to hide the UI, which is the part I actually want to see, since it contains the calendar. I'm looking for anything on it that might be significant or carry a pattern.
I uploaded it to a different site, they should be the correct size now.
If it helps the picture was taken on 1/11/2012 @11:01PM Pacific Time. (GMT -8) So if you can figure out what the calendar was at that time listed then you'll know.

Cool pics guys thanks for sharingThis is really neat! I wonder if we will get some kinda epic meteor event type thing :O
Saw this thread the other day, and just now I'm wandering about La Noscea and I saw what I -think- is the moon, red. It looks a lot different than your picture though, so I could be wrong. o.o;

I left the UI on so it'd show the time of day.
Like I said still looks a lot different (there's just the moon, no Dalamud I think?) but still thought I'd share. ^^
Your screenshot was taken during New Moon, meaning the large moon was not present in the sky. The only moon visible is Dalamud. Next to the time, there are two circles. The one on the right displays the weather, the one on the left displays the moon cycle. Since the left circle is completely empty, that indicates that there will be no moon (a.k.a. new moon).
Also, not sure if it was mentioned at some point, but I was under the impression that the large moon always took the color of the current day. Red - Firesday, etc.
Edit: I might be thinking about FFXI when it comes to the moon color... /shrug.

Okay, hadn't thought of that. Thanks for clearing it up. I'll keep a look out when it's not new moon. xD
Yup. Definitely a new moon causing Memphina's absence in the sky.
((I'm kind of glad they fixed the calendar a while back - for a long time the calendar didn't reflect the moon phases properly, but it does now.))
I'd noticed that too, but I thought it was a graphical glitch. ^^;
