The state of healers is affecting everyone

Wait times for duties are awful and it tends to be healers I am waiting on. Currently at 51 Minutes with all spots filled (since like 20 minutes they've all been filled) but the two healers. This is something I've noticed while playing over the last few weeks. I know they made some people quit healing with recent changes but that is affecting more than just healers.

I'm doing A trial not far after Ultima Weapon. Makes sense I guess most would be doing expansion things but still. An hour of having all slots filled except the 2 healers seems off. Even duty roulette should have found us 2 by now.

Or revert the Astro's changes. That seems to be what upsetted most healers. But shoot, I'm fine with exclusive healer things if it draws more. Kudos to those who choose to heal already so I wouldn't mind if they gave them extras.

AST changes are definitely a big one, but it certainly doesn't help that all healers have been reduced to "spam 1 button over and over and over again until everything is dead, except sometimes you stop to heal for a second" Not very engaging to be be playing a modern game with all of the buttons you need mapped could be done on a NES controller.

For trials you want to queue right after roulette reset, the more you wait the longer is going to be your waiting time. Also, is just happen to be one of the optional trials waiting times are usually bad.

I remember back in HW and during SB having to wait for more than an hour when I was doing the first steps with a DPS class of an ARR relic.

Nah. You're definitely over exaggerating. I've noticed Tanks being in need far more often than Healers.

A lot of healer mains switched to other jobs after the Sbr changes to healers.

I might get a lot of flack for saying this, but as it is now, healing is the easiest role in the game, both to play at an acceptable skill level and to optimize and squeeze out its max value.

They did nerf heal potencies relative to tank health so healers would have to heal more, but all that did was make the role more tedious and feel less rewarding, especially when tanks don't pull single mob packs most of the time so you're throwing out heals that barely bring the tank up and praying they don't die because you're not doing enough.

Plus they did things like replace skills that are satisfying to use on large pulls like bane with lame replacements like art of ground slap

I use my full tool kit when i heal. I'm not sure where you're coming from with this 1 button spam over and over again.

Relative to the Op I know some of my friends who would heal regularly have taken to dps given the mega pulls in some dungeons like expert. It's hard to do those when under geared and as such some prefer to wait until they have better gear to delve in.

Healer queues are pretty instant for me for the most part unless there is a tank that isn't coming to the fight.
