So while everyone here is complaining about limited options on Hrothgar, Im sitting over here on my Hrothgar ALT having a good time. Patiently waiting for mentioned planned updates and additions while working with what Im given, happy that I even can finally be a Beast Race in this game, while also seeing plenty of other diverse Hrothgar in game.
It really is a different world in game compared to the Forums here......

Totally fine to enjoy them but people have to voice there discomfort
because right now its wrong needing to pay $8+ to change hair style and with lack there of.

Feedback is needed as much as people see it as complaining it gets stuff done

A friendly reminder that few years ago we all were have to buy a fantasia if we wanted to change haircut or make up and... people did it a lot in fact (I personally did it 2 or 3 times at least). However, with what I can agree, it's weird to except people being happy with buying fantasia when everyone else can change their style for 2.000 Gil. Well. I doubt they thought we will be happy about this anyway.

Of course they do, its pent up rage and emotion that needs to be vented.
But you don't have to pay $8+ to change hair if you know what you want from the get go. And they already talked about new hair options coming for the Hrothgar, this was already addressed months ago. And I bet they plan to address changing hair once more options are implemented.

Not everyone is 100% decisive with what they want sure there are loads who want to swap between the long and short hair

I have seen quite a lot of similiar looking Hrothgars (but the Viera have the same problems just with more hairstyles) and most of them differ just with their style of clothes. Most of the races have a bit of the same face problem but they can change that with a huge amount of different hairstyles and smaller changes in the face. The two new races are worse than that.

Also its completely fine if you are fine with it. I was fine with not having a third Ultimate raid fight but I also understood the other side that complained about this. And just because someone likes their character ingame does not mean that they cant at the same time also disagree with the way it was added. I like my bunny. But I still hate the genderlocks, I still hate that I can only have certain hairstyles which mostly dont even look that good on my character (imo) thus I am kinda stuck with the short one too.

I was fine with all the missing head pieces because I mostly dont glamour them anyways but I am a bit shocked how some of the gear just simply breaks on the new races and how some of the recent shadowbringer gear or iconic looking gear does not function...instead I am able to wear one low level dungeon hat with my ears. (And lets not talk about that cash shop hat)

And I absolutely dislike the even worse limitation that the Hrothgars have..

And hairstyes is a reward that is done quite often next to minions, music and house items, yet Viera and Hrothgar cant wear them. They have as far as I know no warning in the character creation that you need to pay real life money if you want to change hairstyles for Hrothgar and it was not communicated early enough. We also have no idea what they really mean with more manes coming. Could be one new face with a mane per year while the rest of the races gets all the new styles for free with each new patch. And then if they have a new mane they have to pay real money for it.

They never talked about this kind of limitation when they introduced the races at fanfest. We only speculated about this after the benchmark, where some people were like "dont worry, they would not do that and make you pay for a hair change" when we pointed out that they are locked to the faces.

And even we Vieras dont know what we will get. Maybe also just one hairstyle per year because its Viera only.

Because of how the Viera AND Hrothgar are designed they can't change hair traditionally and have unique hair tied to the heads. The devs know there are limited options as well....this has already been addressed, and they said they will be making new and Unique styles for the 2 races. I'm personally looking forward to the additions. I'm very pleased with both female Viera and male Hrothgar and trust the dev team has a lot more planned. 5.1 should be a good indicator of what is coming so we should see soon enough. I think they've added considerably to the racial variety in game and I also think these are the last races we'll see given the amount of work they've required so much so they not complete yet.
