Just remove the rewards for it, if you are over level 50 (for ARR). Or make it like normal FATEs that you have to synch to it.

What needs to be done?
It's an old hunt, you should be finding them and killing them just fine by now. If you're upset you "missed" one, please find it yourself.
This may sound harsh or crude considering the various hunt communities put together, but they are focused on the current, while the old is left to how hunts were designed to be. Hunted.

I would be in favor of a hidden fate solutions to A and S mobs in all areas(similar how Odin is hidden in shroud areas). A sync to the mob level would be required, HP would scale wih the number of fate participants. Instead of fate music, we would have some hunt track running to have some flair.
The reason I would like it, is not really originating in the dislike of 2s kills, but the interest in mechanics of S mobs, which can be fun and challenging.
I strongly disagree with solutions that introduce lvl80 monsters in lvl 50/60/70 areas, it's not their place to be there. It would be a big wall to all new players who would like to try hunting.
Hunting is an open world activity, therefore I don't see the issue so much of crossword linkshells. The server population doesn't have the only right on such an activity, even if in some cases Only the server population can spawn the mob. Would still be nice to play fair and respect other hunters effort, but I see it as a community guideline and not something gamemaster have to handle.
In the next addon it will be difficult to use one auto attack or gcd in time before the lvl50 mob dies, that will be the real issue lol even under no early pulling/sniping situations.

Hunts are like any other monster on the map, whether normal or FATE monster and everyone should be able to kill such monsters as he/she likes to (who finds it has the choice to inform others, leave it alone or kill it) and not needing to get the allowance from the whole server to attack them.
what part of hunts being free-for-all do people not understand. they will always be available to respawn until the day the servers die forever. this does not entitle everyone and their mother to be present for a kill.
You do realise that for certain things you need to farm them, and because of their lengthy respawn times it's a bit frustrating when you spend hours trying to spawn one only to hear that a wave of Wanderers from other realms sniped it that morning and didn't even give clue to what time it died? Perhaps when you need to farm S ranks and can't because Wanderers keep sneaking onto your world and taking all your S ranks you'll understand and start complaining yourselves. It's gonna get a whole lot worse when SE does away with data centers altogether.
This was supposed to be a fun thing for people to do together but ever since cross-world it's been taken over by people who think they own the entire data center and stalk and snipe our S ranks whilst talking smack about our own server people who are trying their best to keep track of our S ranks so people on our world at least have a chance to participate in the kill.

I am trying to spawn them, as are several others in at least 2 other linkshells. Often we'll discover Wanderers from a private CWLS (they kick out any Phoenix players btw) sniped whilst we were present at another or they snuck in the early hours of the morning and spawned our S ranks and didn't mark them as dead so we're oblivious to whether they're on timer or not. We've lost track of several usually Lampagula, The Garlok and Wulgaru, although this week we've also lost timers for Nandi, Brontes, and even one of the Forgiven Pedantry that they sniped in the very early hours a day ago which was swarmed by around 30+ Wanderers. They engage as soon as any players from Phoenix arrive and they don't mark down when and what they've killed so we can't keep up with them. It's a selfish game by people who just don't care who they upset and are perfectly fine with disrupting the game for everyone else. It's getting to a stage now where we're thinking of no longer announcing when our S ranks are up and keeping a private database of their timers because we can't trust anybody to go posting it in the private CWLS and having it sniped by Wanders the next time it's up. This will greatly inconvenience everyone else on Phoenix but if SE won't take action then we will have to take matters into our own hands to ensure we get a fair shot at S ranks.I'll keep it real OP, concerning S ranks, unless you're helping to spawn them, you have absolutely no right to complain about spawners killing them without you. To me, that's a bit selfish actually. Please correct me if I misunderstood (and I really hope I did) but are you seriously upset that people who put in the time and effort to spawn it aren't waiting for you, a complete stranger, to just hop in and reap the rewards when you probably wouldn't even take a few seconds to thank each spawner?
If so, that's some pretty lousy character homie.

Gaius van Baelsar: Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?
hmmm take matters into your own hands? and how exactly would you do that when anyone can come on to the server and spawn/kill hunts? they're not exclusively yours anymore now that world visit is a thing.
