I've yet to see anyone say turn this into FFXI-2 -- For someone that tells others they're being idiots about something, you seem to make your own assumptions.

Not a fan of this at all. They could have spent their time on other projects.... like more content than a ridiculous mount like this. What a waste of time and resources spent.

Sadly, more content will come when the engine and foundation is done being overhauled -- a good deal of content anyway.

I am actually all for different mounts. I just happen to think this one in particular is rather lame. And frankly buddy, not that I want it to be, but HAD they just made FFXI-2 this game would have done waaaaayyyyy better than its doing now. At least then we wouldn't be waiting 2 more years after release for them to progress the game foward. If SE didn't want to draw people to this game that loved FFXI, then they wouldn't have used the exact same races that they had in XI. I love how people get all suprised that there are a lot of us that loved XI that play this game. Doesn't mean I want it to be XI-2. Nice hat btw.

I know, right? Instead of it being a sequel, merely taking what worked and made it better is what any good MMO dev does. It worked for Rift and it's working for SWTOR, what's the problem with it working for XIV using things from XI? SE created both of them lol.

It seems to me only the people scared of an MMO they never played are the ones who think someone is requesting XIV take place in Vanadiel.

It's true, an XI-2 would have done much better than the rushed out unfinished version of XIV we got but that's only because XI was a lot more polished in what it's vision was, XIV wasn't fully realized.

ffxiv players are a rare breed. fighting over positive additions.

As well as crying over SE using working systems and making it better for another game/MMO, since no other MMORPG company does this ever. Nope, WoW was 100% original when it released in 2004.
