Rescue is such a weird cast, it's actually any "enemy" kind of cast as I learned the other when doing Trial roulette. We got Shinryu and I decided to ride out the initial knockoff with Surecast and can continue to do my BLM things. Only to see a text "Rescue Dodged!" on my screen and of course the big snake pushed me off ...

I had that happen on Dun Scaith once during Deathgaze. I ran to the other side to avoid the Aero while using Surecast, since I was familiar with how to dodge the thing. I noticed someone tried to Rescue me when I was at the side of the Aero marker, though, and it said I was immune or it missed or something like that.

I'm pretty sure the people who keep getting naked so Alliance is a Crystal Raid are vets who know what they are doing. It is they who should be ridiculed. Not new players (I'm so sick of Crystal Tower). -_-

At least it's nearly impossible to wipe on Syrcus Tower. Better than getting Labyrinth where No One Stands on the Pads or World of Why is No One Chaining Cerberus?

WoW refugee here. TBH, there is a big huge toxic community of WoW players - and it's the RPers. Or it was a couple of years ago. It seems a little better now. The dungeon groups were mostly good, though I ran into way more childish idiots there than I have here. ("Why did I die, healer?" Because you were standing in a very old 1-hit-KO mechanic. Move out of the black circle of death, my dude.)

Just fought a Neverreap where the healer died to the last boss at like, 80%. Me (DRG), the DNC (healing and attacking like a pro) and the GNB finished it anyway.

I wasted like 30 minutes on Alexander because of a really bard Bard just now. -.-
He kept stacking on us with the green marks, after the third wipe, he uses LB for no reason
then healers just happen to die at the end...again, and we were at 5%.
I was a DRG and didn't wanna use the LB yet until I knew we were safe around 10%.
I did try to explain the mechs a bit at the end and he does that and I just facepalmed.

This bothers me such much. Many of us have all come from other MMOs, some like myself, come from FFXI, but we don't call ourselves "FFXI refugees", and let me tell ya, post 75 era that community smelled like a legion of skunks took over. I can't go back there. You gotta already have something done to get help for getting that something done heh. Frankly I just don't like the labeling, it draws unwarranted negativity, much in the way it does in the real world. No community is pure and FFXIV has definitely never been full of flower carrying saints. All the toxicity is not huddled up in raids, they exist in FCs, DF, heck even in Limsa - you just gotta say something that triggers someone >_>. It does not matter where you come from, bad people have always been in the game, will always be in the game.

Gonna stop here as I think I've said enough.

It's nearly impossible to stay awake in Syrcus Tower. At least the many many mess ups on the other two would give me something to do as healer. But really I'm sick of all three of them. I've made a macro to call out the nudes when I see them. I mean it used to be often enough without people actually trying to make it happen. :\

I mean, it's had a what... 15 year history of being full of completely rude and aggressive players? One of my stand out memories is that video of the guy smashing his keyboard against his table and all that stuff... from long long ago. It is kind of like how if someone mentioned playing this game, probably the first assumption would be "weeb" Doesn't necessarily mean it's true, but it isn't wildly incorrect assumption.
