Dear tanks: If you don't pull Ser Grinnaux out of the black pool he poops, I can't do what I need to do as a melee DPS.

Or I'll kind of just forget how to DPS and just do dumb 1-2-3 combo, since you clearly forgot how to tank.

Also, good to know the new "Balmung server" jokes are "WoW refugee jokes". They're just as unfunny, unoriginal, and unnecessary!

I made a goof last night.

I boosted warrior, and then spent some time on a dummy getting a handle on the actions so I knew what I was doing. Then did a dungeon roulette with a couple friends, a bard and mch.

Unfortunately...I kiiiinda forgot to check my gear. So I had full scaevan left side and...nothing equiped right side on the first pull. Now, I realized I was weirdly squishly and corrected that after the first pull or two but still felt bad and apologized to the healer, and hit the recommended gear button.

Had a frustrating time in edn4 yesterday. We had multiple new people, and my cohealer was new. I don't blame them, but they kept dying to everything. To the bombs, to the massive landslide, to fault line, and every time I would raise them, they would die again. This was my first time being forced into a position where I had to solo heal and it was as stressful as I thought it'd be. To make matters worse, I kept having trouble with the Evil Earth AOE for some reason. I could just not stop dying to it, and that was annoying! I watched my character run out the AOE but it'd hit me anyways.

After our third wipe, one of boneheaded floortanking dps says "healers need to learn or go". That's when I decided to haul myself out of there. I know the fight, I'm not sure why that AOE was giving me trouble because the last time I did edn4, I did it just fine (besides one death but that was an oopsie moment with fault line and by then Titan was about dead). I requeue myself, and the next group I get clears the fight just fine. But I'm still mad that a floortanker questioned my integrity so I forced myself to do more runs. I managed to finally do a run without issues from that annoying AOE so yeah, to that floortanking DPS: suck on it.

Spite is one hell of a motivator. But this does make me wish people would watch guides before going into content. And I feel that especially more for tanks and healers because we have little leeway for error.

I just had the worst Qitana Ravel ever.

I've been leveling PLD recently. As soon as I zone in I ask the healer (L78 AST, no other classes leveled) what type of pulls he'd prefer. He admits that he's not super comfortable with the job and would prefer I avoid massive pulls. No worries, I haven't tanked the dungeon yet so I'm fine with single pulls.

Through the entire dungeon the AST is keeping everyone healthy, tossing out cards, and even dealing a good amount of damage. AST dies to an aoe on the first boss at 50%, apologizes in chat, and explains how he will fix it next time (there was no next time because clemency is OP). Rest of the dungeon is silky smooth.

I main AST for my static, so after the dungeon I send a friend request and offer to answer any questions he has. He says he appreciates it, I offer some feedback, and then he mentions that he started playing recently after dropping WoW. We continue talking for a bit, I send him my Discord info in case he has any questions later and I'm offline, and we part ways amicably.

Damn these toxic WoW refugees with their willingness to perform well, communicate with the party, admit that they're not perfect, and look for ways to improve. Absolutely ruining the community. 0/10, would not recommend.

Yeah with the 'wow refugee crisis' I honestly haven't noticed any sort of shift for better OR worse in terms of player attitude/skill.

I had mostly neutral to positive experiences with the occasional bad egg before, and that's what I have now.

Leveling GUN, got LotA. Look at the other tanks, neither have on their stance. I pop mine. PLD right beside me hits Shield Oath at the same time. No biggie. We both pull different adds and group them together. I'm thinking this guy's alright. Bone Dragon, he's standing there. I go ahead and pull. Keep him in the middle. I see the PLD ran past me and then provoke and pull the Bone Dragon to the other side of the board. Just why? Leave him in the middle. I hate when they do that and I'm on DPS and Heals, I figured if I'm tanking I'd have control. But nope, he wants the Bone Dragon as far away from the Alliances as possible. Figured an aggro fight with the Dragon bouncing all over the place would be me annoying, so I let him keep it.

Also, how long as that first door in The Vault been closed? I'm pretty sure we could have pulled the first two groups of mobs together.

Yea, everyone talks about WoW toxicity and it's a new thing. But I have story I've shared a few time about my first time in a dungeon. I was GLD and my party didn't like the idea of having a sprout as their tank. So they ran ahead and pulled stuff, the healer didn't heal. Call me out when I died, from the lack of heals. This was back in 2.2(3?).

I'm pretty sure the people who keep getting naked so Alliance is a Crystal Raid are vets who know what they are doing. It is they who should be ridiculed. Not new players (I'm so sick of Crystal Tower). -_-

Short story:

I was on healer and queued up for alliance roulette. We got LotA and everything was fine till King Behe. The DNC died to the meteors a second before we killed it. So, both my co-healer and myself headed to the final boss. The DNC spends a good time dead and says "Thanks, team". I tell them they can return and use the teleport, in order to avoid weakness debuff. They answer me with an "I know". Well, "you're welcome, then!" That's what I said... I was confused how you could be snarky and waiting for something you knew it was bad.

Of course it didn't end there. What did this dancer do? They stood in front of the Ancient Flare, died on purpose, raised them and clicked the rez thing off. Fight ends, I call them "childish", and get another "ok". Then I left the instance, not gonna deal with children.
