Let's just go one step further and not include anything in this game that falls outside the very narrow "final fantasy-esque" definition as construed by some on these boards and ensure the game isn't enjoyable for anybody at all in the larger world outside of a few selective purists. That's sure to make this a lasting enjoyable success for years to come.Well, If a Beastmaster was given ride-able mobs, I'd fully support it (esp in battle). It would make total sense.
But if everyone online is automatically given a Goobbue to ride, it ends up looking absolutely ridiculous.
Imagine 20 people riding Goobbues in that pic instead of just one.
If you can't see how that diminishes the artistic integrity of the game, then I don't know what else could be said to convince you.
Supposing that it IS a player mount (and it sure looks like it) lets just hope that it is slower than a chocobo and is summoned by an item with a one-week cooldown timer on it.
because this is the 14th game in a franchise i declare that it not do anything that the first 13 did not do. /sarcasmLet's just go one step further and not include anything in this game that falls outside the very narrow "final fantasy-esque" definition as construed by some on these boards and ensure the game isn't enjoyable for anybody at all in the larger world outside of a few selective purists. Why doesn't anyone ever remember the barrel mount i had to use to get to the underwater dungeon?Well, If a Beastmaster was given ride-able mobs, I'd fully support it (esp in battle). It would make total sense.

Have you played FFXIII yet? I was riding my Bahamut and my Alexander and so on.

This game having any form of integrity in the way it looks? Have you seen the landscape yet?
As I said, if you can't see how it diminishes the artistic integrity of the game (esp in light of the 2.0 direction), I can't convince you otherwise.Let's just go one step further and not include anything in this game that falls outside the very narrow "final fantasy-esque" definition as construed by some on these boards and ensure the game isn't enjoyable for anybody at all in the larger world outside of a few selective purists. It looks ridiculous. I'm sure the tasteless majority will love them.
Taste being riding the same yellow chicken everyone else rides? Ok. Give me the 13 chocobos and i'll do it.
Why so serious...
Its a game its fun, its Japanese. Who frankly are very well known for their adolescent culture.
