It's a fictional setting and the development team should ultimately be at liberty to decide who can wear what. Unfortunately in the present day many companies feel obligated to make concessions on that particular front due to bad publicity being weaponised as an effective blackmail tool. It's all rather ironic, the more 'choice' we're told we have in a game, the less we actually have for fear of not offending anybody.

I also happen to think it's a waste of resources, but hey if they have the time and inclination to do it whilst constantly telling us how pressed they are for time... whenever various other requests are made, I'll totally understand.

If they had infinite resources I'd ask for those bikini glamours to be removed off my screen lol (just mine, local side). The glamour system for the most part has been pretty cool, lots of awesome outfits and such (and would love to see a log just so I can fill it out :3), but the really skimpy gear (specifically seasonal/water wear) can get into my head space when it comes to the immersive moments. "Deep deep lore moment, intense serious fight against a well structured boss in a beautiful environment, meanwhile in the background is a pig head in a bikini" XD. It's not rage inducing but not my favorite either hehe.

I don't really care for female gendered gear on males since I'd never wear it but if it's something someone at SE is passionate about I wouldn't care to fight it either, I'm sure someone would be happy- like If I wanted chocobo hot and cold and if it doesn't ruin some more serious EX content I'd hope people not try to budget me .

Though if they were like "you can have either ungendered races and more ungendered gear or instanced personal zone housing / personal airships.." I'd be like YOLO see you later guys, I'm getting on my airship and not looking back! lol.

Instead of waisting time giving men female clothes how bout we take that effort to the mogstation and give male characters more glam to buy, the chicks get a lot more then we do and I don't want thier hand me downs, I want actual male outfits, not outfits made for females that men can wear.

That being said, we want to address this, and I think it will be gradual...For instance, for the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, we’ve already started to make adjustments. Once we officially release this, you won’t have gender restrictions. If you both wanted to wear a dress, that’s perfectly fine. If you want to both wear the tuxedo, that would also be fine...That’s not available in game yet, but we have done the preparations for it.

I think it's a great idea that they are doing this. I could easily work the veil into a healer glamour for the men but I don't know what I'd do for the dress. I'm sure others will have more use for it though. I would probably use the suit on my female character for a machinist glamour since I want to try that class out at some point before the NieR raids.
