Well, now! Congrats for this party, I'd say! A third of the tank's health (god I love lallafel tanks) per swipe looks pretty much alright for a 'naked' run! You guys had pretty good timing there to keep him up and you totally Danmaku-dodged this guy.

Yet many people even with the gear struggle to complete it all, and are constantly asking for them to tier content to make it more accessible or complaining about their class being "broken".

It's too bad this MMO doesn't have more endgame content where, given the gear, even players like this can easily complete the content without having to challenge themselves any further than buying some gear on an auction house.

You stated pre much what everyone else has said that is needed to beat Ifrit.. beating him naked is no big feat.. tons of people have done it.. and many don't care that they are able to cause well they know how easy it is.... close thread please.. just another ls looking for hype.. not the first and won't be the last.. and no one has answered my question.. has moogle been done naked?? Id more interested in seeing that done naked then Ifrit who has been done a million times before.. I dont mean to come off rude.. but to create a whole new thread about how is gear is overrated on one of the easier fights in FF14 is just lawl worthy...

Not ONCE did I mention what LS I belong to, not once did I say "look how awesome we are that we beat ifrit naked, our LS is numbah one" not once did I promote my ls either so no...we arent looking for fame or hype or anything we are just showing something we did FOR FUN.

Either way ppl that dont even bother to go out and try new stuff and just sit back in their chair and talk crap about the stuff others do really dont even have a say in the matter. Its impressive this was done in 9min or less after patch without gear, as is the many other things other ls do. take your low esteem and go elsewhere! This was fun and we had a good time, and managed it for speed run. good job i say.

I know other LS's have done this already, We've watched and envied the videos, but this is not about fame or acknowledgement, it's about fun. We want nothing more than to inspire the players that are still fighting; still enduring the learning curve of this fight, much like you players that inspired us.

I can understand that people thinks it is disappointing that an LS can fight a (current) end game battle in a reindeer outfit and bikinis, but understand that it took us a lot of work to be able to get to the point where we can do this.

Games are meant to be played for fun are they not?! Why bother if you aren't here to have fun, I mean, you're here for a reason after all, why not make the best of it?

I get the feeling that we, the players, soemtimes forget why we play the MMOs...

MMOs are still fun, sure is all fine and dandy to be competitive and try to be the best at what we do...but we play to have fun! games were made to laugh and enjoy the time you spend with your friends!

I been saying that stats are dead fake and do nothing at all a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time now...
But peeps were like "Yes Yuri you are right >.>" Gear for MRD with VIT +36 and STR + 66 made about 20 damage points extra
than the naked "set" i have lol...
All frontal attacks all same rank mobs....

btw the most fun i have is when peeps put some materia on their crafting gear and hold their breath expecting anything at all to happen!! LAWL!

Standard JRPG fare, fighting demonic demigods in bikinis~
Sometimes they're the best armor, even if your party mate won't agree
(that was a Persona 3 reference since everyone will miss it)

While as a visual trend this does happen I don't think it's a fair comparison to XIV.
In Persona 3 and 4 that gear is definitely strong in stats and you can tell in battle.
As a whole I'm the one making bad comparisons here too in P4 one wrong move can wipe out your entire party but in XIV you can just keep that axe swinging because the worst thing that can happen is your gear getting a minor dent in it.

God I love P4 so much it's insane. Can't wait for golden version on vita.
