This thread has had a share of interesting episodes but does seem to be growing at a slower rate. One thing that can’t be denied is that it seems to have passed the 1800 like milestone and that its over 900 pages long.

Another thing is that this is not the only platform where the subject is discussed. The idea of male Viera seems popular on tumblr and on twitter but I remember reading a post on twitter about how reddit was supposedly hostile towards the idea and that one of the fan arts from this thread was posted there and was removed, though I have no idea how to verify that now.

I do think though is that depending on the situation, it would have been better for many topics to say up front Yes or No as to what is coming, like the disappointing news Viera are only getting new racial hair instead of old ones and no clear news about Hrothgar options. I think for this while they didn’t say yes or no they probably should have earlier on and set clear limits for expectations.

Oh my, he looks gorgeous. I really hope they have facial hair. Part of me is upset about the lack of hairs that they have, but the other part of me knows that I'll probably use the race-specific hair anyway. That's just a part of what makes them well, Viera... their hair is so unique. Am I the only one who thinks this?

I do think that for Au Ra and Viera that our racial hairstyles have some good ones that people like and use often and help make them stand out a bit more. If I see that the new ones that will be released eventually are to my liking I'll probably use them, but I don't think they should forget about older popular hairstyles like Lightning one, Princess one, and Gyr Abanian one.

Since the Au Ra were originally going to be Viera before they took them in a more original-race direction, I’d assume that the Male Viera won’t be too far off from that body type, which I happy to really like.

I would be ok with anything that doesn't fall into the extremes of Roegadyn nor Lalafell. If they do reuse Au Ra though, I would hope they give them a better running animation.

A work in progress piece by @solthrys on twitter, from June. I assume we’ll be hearing nothing again during the QA today related to the new races or the missing genders/features but at least there is quite a lot of fan art on social media we can post until the far off day when we get new info.

That's pretty much a given. They probably have a set schedule already with content, and additional headgear and stuff is probably just something added in after the fact. No point in talking about something they have either already talked about, or isn't past the concept stage. Especially not male viera which would be a major announcement, unlike headgear/hairstyles.

It's too bad. I really do like viera, a lot. However, I can't even use the hair I paid for that my au ra is using right now, or at least a dozen others. Very sad. 2 hairstyles and a race I like a lot, or a dozen hairstyles I paid money or grinded for that I like, and a race I also like? As usual, I am still mad.

I assume it won’t be until a full live letter before a patch that we get another update about hairs or hats. Even then as much as I would love to see multiple new hairstyles released at once to free up some variety in selection I don’t think they have more than one or two planned. If Hrothgar end up getting any new hairs I’d be shocked but again I think they would only release a single new fur pattern at a time. I don’t like using or wearing armor that displays them though so if they do release more patterns they’re useless to me.
