The same is true for the cutscenes before and after the battles against the Magitek Colossus and Nero, but the opposite. And I rarely see those who play in English waiting for everyone.
It's funny, I've never seen this as a problem (even when some people don't wait for everyone before taking THIS elevator). It's just the way the game is made. And what are we talking about? 10 or 20 seconds difference?
And on topic, I'm really annoyed by the gameplay part of the "Role Play" feature or whatever. I don't see what's fun or epic in fighting a damage-sponge with only four abilities.

Enrage timers were intended to stop parties from just stacking healers and slowly grinding bosses to death instead of actually doing mechanics in older MMOs. In WoW's 40-player raids, you could conceivably try it, it'd just be very very boring. They don't really serve much purpose in a system like Duty Finder that has a set number of each role, but they're a staple of the genre now.
In Everquest, raids were basically a battle of attrition: Will the mob die before healers run out of mana? This created a lot of submechanics of its own, like Clerics running mana efficient complete heal chain makros with certain delays while patch healers jumped in during damage spikes and mana feeders fed them mana.Enrage timers were intended to stop parties from just stacking healers and slowly grinding bosses to death instead of actually doing mechanics in older MMOs. There were no real boss mechanics to speak of, a lot of unavoidable AOE which was a check if you had enough resistance gear and HP, AOE fear, rampage which would wreck the person that was 2nd on aggro and deathtouch which insta killed #1 on aggro once a minute. Since the ability to keep aggro was largely limited by the tank's gear, DPS coudln't really go full burst anyway, so getting your tank those sweet aggro proc weapons indirectly contributed to raid DPS as well bc now wizards could get those big nukes out without getting rekt.
Was it slow? Sure. Was it boring? Nope, because there was so much micromanaging and class synergies going on. Kinda like playing EvE, while FF14 is more like playing Elite Dangerous ^^ I enjoy both, but if I had to choose one I'd choose the "boring" system bc it's deeper and you still have time to chat and socialize while doing it, AND you don't feel completely burnt out with aching wrists after doing it for an hour ^^

I haaaate the boss QTEs. Nothing like doing Shinryu Ex and being fine until I suddenly have to button mash my brains out and I die because I have never been able to button mash quickly. I had to get my little sister to button mash me through the torture sequence in Metal Gear Solid II. Who thought these were a good idea?Quicktime Events during trials. I mean, seriously? QTEs are the bane of gaming because they're such a silly gimmick trying to create 'interactivity' to a cutscene. Except they do not fit the middle of a trial battle at all: it literally becomes "Press O as fast as you can to not die". It's not about how good you play your class or Job, it just becomes a test at how fast you can hit a button. And it especially does not work in a MMO environment where one person slipping up wipes the entire party. For no other reason other than they couldn't mash a button fast enough.

I agree completely with this. In every MMO I play, I will ignore you if you spam invite me to guilds. Try sending a private message to me and asking like a living, breathing person and not some spam bot. Usually if you ask me I will join if I'm not already in a guild.
Forum signatures annoy the crap out of me. Especially the ones with pictures, gifs, character cards, etc. I can promise you that nobody gives a hoot how much you enjoy being a potato insert-class-here, or what song lyrics you think are deep and meaningful - take that back to your 2002 AIM away message where it belongs.
Quotes from other forum posters are also annoying to see in sigs. No one else finds that out-of-context, moderately witty reply from one year ago nearly as amusing as you do. Keep it to yourself.
Oh, and character cards - literally no one cares how many 80s you have or how much like a harlot your character can look like.
There’s a reason that no serious forum allows signatures these days, lol.
