Is it okay for me to not get my job crystal for rp reasons?

I'm not sure if you're asking this seriously as your profile shows you having several jobs at 70 which means by now you should understand the difference between using a class and a job.

But, in case you are, you would be missing a great number of your abilities (check the official job guide and see which of the abilities have the White Mage icon and which the Conjurer icon), traits and stats, significantly hindering any group that would end up playing with you. So no it's definitely not something you should do in a group setting.


To be honest, they should just drop the classes entirely by now since there isn't any actual use for them at any point, really.

well I just recently started leveling conjurer, just hit 24 last night, so I'll be getting my job stone soon... but I think for lore reasons I'm just gonna skip it. Conjurers can heal just fine as is from what I've noticed. I haven't had any problems with it.

Expect to be routinely kicked from content past level 30 then, for obstructing gameplay.

Because that is what you will be doing.

Well, there is a test you could try to see. Since you have Summoner level 70. You could try with a party of friends enter a level 70 synced dungeon as summoner and play party healer with just having access to Physic to see if any problems arise...Since Arcanist healed just fine with just that spell pre level 30 content also.

If you want to RP a conjuror, yes by all means do so. If plan to take the role into parties with random players. Please have the job crystal and full kit and set the lore aside and go OOC. If you're RPing a dungeon with other rp'ers. Great! Awesome! For those situations set up alternate hot bars where you have access to Conjurer skills only and set a glamor to match the part.
