A storm happened last night while I was doing roulette as a tank. We were doing Brayflox Longstop and I was tanking. I'm not sure if it was the storm or what, but I had several instances where my connection got crappy. So for the other players, it probably looked like I was just standing there, with my sword in my hand. They were understanding though and we completed the dungeon, thankfully it never happened on the last boss. Then, after we finished the dungeon, my neighbor's tree was struck by lightning and fell into the road in front of my house, so I decided probably best to turn off my PS4 and unplug.

　I:m getting a super raised anger with the speed buff from range... I almost left a dungeon out of spite cause of it. I didn:t and just dealed with it but I can:t explain it. I HATE it to my core atm. I was screaming at the tv everytime the bard used it. I KNOW t:s all a me thing and I KNOW noone is going to understand it and call me names cause of it... but I can:t help it right now... it pisses me off. And I can:t not do dungeons cause I need the levels. Might be tied to something bigger but everytime it:s used I get instantly pissed and want to either kick the person for using it on me OR boot myself from the dungeon. Again.. I:ve NEVER done either or these but it:s how I feel. Maybe it:s just I:m sick of the - gotta go fast- thing people have in this game, even when you wipe or whatever. I didn:t think I still had issues with that as I just got used to it. But some reason right now.. I REALLY hate that buff and want to punch it off my screen with the most hate and anger ever... I:m talking 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 etc etc etc of force. THATS how mad I get when it happens. And yes it makes NO sense... but it:s honestly how I get.

I:m just gonna have to learn to get over it but right now this is how I feel. T.T

While definitely not to that extent, I have had two tanks in the past who got mad at me for casting Peloton as a BRD because to them Peloton = Micro-managing the parties pace. I wish I was making that up for you.

When was leveling my MCH, I got into Castrum Abania (lvl 69) via Leveling Roulette.

After reading so much about heavily undergeared and underperforming players in leveling duties, especially in higher ones, I feared the worst. Didn't make it better when I saw that the tank was GNB and my co-DPS a DNC. I thought they were just jumping on the 'new job' train...

Well, at least they've chosen me as their dance partner. And off we go... and man, I couldn't have been proven more wrong. I just used my Wildfire and before it could detonate... the trash was dead... WHAT THE...
Never in my (FFXIV) life have I seen this trash dying this fast. I was so perplexed that I almost forgot to focus on the other spawning adds
The GNB was using cooldowns like a champ, and even tho their HP dropped pretty low, our WHM always had something to top them in an instant while spaming Holy like it's on summer sale. And the DNC was actually using their Step moves for AoE.
We reached the first boss pretty quick, and... it was down shortly after the 1st add phase... yikes, the boss got rekt there O.O
After that were Magitek Pods that spawn adds when their casts finish. First wave, we got 3/4 down before the cast finished, 2nd wave we got all 4! I have never seen 4 going down, even 3 were really rare.
2nd boss, we get pillars and take all the right elemental (fire, ice, lightning). No knockbacks or vul stacks, nothing, and it was down just as the 2nd pillars appeared.
We reached the final boss at 9 minute mark, and killed it during the first add wave.

This party... consisting of complete random players... just did a Castrum Abania speedrun in less than 11 minutes.

Did two alliance roulettes back to back. The first one had this one player doing /a to remind everyone mechanics exist with the same macro'd text every minute. They wouldn't take the hint that we heard them the last 15 times.
The second one had two people using /a to bicker over clear speed. I couldn't tell you how the conversation went as I promptly grew sick of it and menu'd to stop all alliance messages from appearing in my primary chat log and disabled the sound effects.

Anyway, a quick story of me being a horror story in a run of E3N. I was SAM and I kept getting hit by random AoEs and misstepped on Tidal Wave and ALMOST died on the first one. I never died for most of the run but if there was something that could damage me I was eating it. But the worst part? When the middle was down I dashed forward and fell off. Like an idiot. This is only the, like, 50th time I've run this. wtf me. I told them to leave me because I was just playing bad. They rezzed me eventually though and I decided to LB because it was almost down at this point. Died before it went off. Hurray!

The healer and supportive DPS told this player that if they wanted to leave, they were free to Abandon the duty. Given the content of the chat, and the behavior of this player, even if they had Vote Kicked as requested, there was no guarantee this player wouldn't have spitefully submitted reports on them, too. So the healer set the boundary that if this DPS continued to pull in advance of the tank, they would not be healing them. (A pretty standard duty finder boundary, in my experience)

The healer submitted a report on this player after the fact. They were honest and immediate.
Today they were informed that they were being suspended for three days.
The technical reason given was "MPK" but contextually, they are being punished for failing to acquiesce with a troll's demands, and for not throwing a new player under the bus to accommodate a single impatient, selfish player.


The message this sends is "Give in to the bullies, because standing up for yourself (and/or others) is punishable." And that's pretty messed up.

Playing bad is not a reportable offense.

Acting bad is.

Because everyone in this thread ever has NEVER EVER in the history of existing never been over the top or hyperbold. Again I was animated but you acted like I killed someone. It's just how I felt. I've waved it off since yesterday but I'm not going to say sorry for how I felt. Sorry if it wasn't as nice as the world wants people to be. Again you can feel how ever you want in my opinion. I'll never call someone out on a feeling long as it never gets actted on. I DID mention I never did those things. But I'm wasting time cause how dare I not like something.

At the end of the day I'm not even asking for it to be changed. I just wished I could click it off. As I also mentioned that's where alot of the anger came from. Not from the skill itself.. but not being able to remove it was my biggest issue when I relaxed and thought about it.

That is within the definition of MPK, which means it likely happened rather than just was talked about in chat. But even that isn't enough on its own to get a 3 day suspension. Suspensions happen when there is a history of warnings or the incident is extreme, so there would have been previous warnings on that account somewhere or there is more to the story than is being told.

It is also entirely possible the other player got a suspension as well. That information is not shared by the GMs. In short, just because someone is being disruptive doesn't give you license to be disruptive in return. Use the vote kick mechanic and don't chat stupid stuff like threats to not heal someone.
