As cynical and flippant as Im being, while Im sure that there are some characters who do do this, Im also fairly certain that this (again) isnt all that widespread. Why take upskirt panty shots when you can walk around Limsa Aetheryte for 10 seconds and see pretty much any pick of any race wearing pretty much a bikini. I know for some people it's a fetish or whatever, but Im having trouble believing people would go to such an extent when AC is literally an alt tab and a google search away for most players. Again, not saying it never happens, but more along the lines thinking "is this really that frequent an issue to warrent 20 pages of discussion?" I am skeptical to say the least.

With the way game physics work, even a long dress like the marriage dress enables you to see what's underneath as soon as the character in question runs up a pair of stairs. W/o the need for camera gymnastics, I might add.

Different people have different boundaries. How can I explain this?

Some people, myself included, feel a strong connection to our characters. They are part of our inner story, the one that we tell inside our heads.

And, some of those people, also like me, cannot get a lot of social interactions outside of online games. The people we meet in game can become friends who mean a lot to us, even if we never meet them.

The reverse is also true. If another player acts discourteously to a character, it can feel like an attack upon the person who plays that character.

For me, I can laugh it off, even get a sense of joy, from an ingame hug or a pat on the head. It's all part of the banter between people.

But other people feel uncomfortable with the unasked for interactions. It's an intrusion into their inner story. Respect their boundaries and move on to someone who enjoys the interactions.

On the subject of the word creepy... I fear that this is becoming a blanket term and that people are becoming paranoid of just about any kind of tell they get from random people. ~_~

To the person out there..I was building up to asking what your favorite shake was, but I myself was afraid to explain that further. Wasn't trying to be scary/creepy/basement dweller with ulterior motives..
