This entire thread is nothing but "I want muh "specific" bunny bois" and don't fool yourself otherwise. Besides, wasn't Hrothgar added because they didn't want another "handsome" race, they had too many as is and wanted something different? Sounds like your definition of a quota to me. So yea, I want my Man Rabbit to be between 5'6'' (173 cm) and 6'1" (187 cm) or female Highlander size.

They wanted to capitalise on the beast market - thus we got our beast race. I think people - me included - have an issue where the genders have to be different for the sake of being different in regards to height. The only one who doesn't do this is Lala where the males and females share the same height. We do not have a 'tall' race that has this either. If the males have the same range as the females then it's just up to taste on the height scale. Which I suppose is better than what is more likely to happen where the males are going to be Elezen height.

Eh, maybe we'll have a nice surprise where all of the races get a bigger height scale or something.

I personally wouldn't mind the males' height dipping below the minimum height of the females, but only if the maximum height was taller than the females.

No... There was a demand for a Beast Race. The Lupin were actually pretty Well Received, and the Devs decided it would be a good choice for Diversity to include a playable Beast Race. (Not YoshiP's EXACT words but...)

Nah, see this was weird. When they put in the option for a more beast race they used the example that was Viera. But then Yoshida went ahead and said that perhaps they shouldn't have used the example that was Viera as it skewered the results. Was odd really. I'm assuming we're talking about the race poll that was done years back.
It could be why the male art was seen as too cute for him as well, I think Yoshida wanted them to be more 'beast like'. We were then given Hrothgar males - and thus the Viera males are now described as being elegant like. So looks like the plans were changed regarding the concept.
