I get to disagree with that... While functional, FFXIV UI struggle when all you want is a clean design. The worst of it is the target health bar... It's too long and thin, I'd love to make it thicker without making it even longer (upscaling it).

Also, while I don't miss Recount from WoW, the challenge thing to test your dps potential is far from a good meter. What I'd love to have was a personal dps/healing meter only visible for you... this way I can measure my performance by numbers without having to resource to the "illegal" method.

I would love to see a type of Windower that we had back in 11. Spellcast would be nice also but I don't see something like working in 14. Now things that would break the game would be things like "All Seeing Eye", AP Radar. All Seeing Eye might not really work. Now AP Radar could be a different story espicially with hunts. Alerts when Hunts pop with map location and the ability to warp to that spot from anywhere.

Improved macros would be nice too because I used to always heal with mouseover macros in wow and I haven't touched healing since I moved to ff14.
Made an alt to redo the MSQ and accidentally found a command that separated the Buffs/Debuffs line into their own separate moveable windows with the ability to change them from 1x10 to 2x5 etc, and sort them based on priority and emphasizing your own buffs over those given from outside.

Given how many damn buffs I get assaulted with when in a party with an AST and DNC as a MNK … I really need to do a deep dive and see how effective those settings can get.

Something I truly wish they'd do was allow skill queueing on Macros that don't try to cast multiple skills at once. Or at a minimum, Macros that affect specific targets (Such as a MouseOver or <tt> line).
I found DPSing as a Healer to be absolute nightmare of tabbing around and clicking back into party members so I made Broil/Malefic/Glare into simple "/ac "Broil" <tt>". Switching between DPS and Healing is so incredibly comfortable with them behaving like that by allowing me to never need to manually target an Enemy.
I have an issue on my Monk in that I cannot for the life of me get a comfortable bind setup for the 6 core weaponskills (And I've been playing Monk since ARR >_>) so I ended up macroing Twin Snakes and Demolish into one key and Snap Punch + True Strike into another.
I'm well aware of the DPS loss I incur for this, But E123 in varying orders is so incredibly comfortable as opposed to having an extra 2 buttons. I'm aware this is a personal 'failing' of mine, but it doesn't stop me wanting SE to not punish me for choosing to make my rotational layout more comfortable. For those curious, I do have those skills on separate keys I use specifically during Perfect Balance, but since I don't often have to press them, they're not an issue for me sitting there on weird binds.

Please share! I feel a lot of players could use this.

Whilst many other games out there may well have add-ons which have become essential I like the fact that FFXIV does not have any and hope that will continue.

Just because some other games have certain add-ons and people miss those from those games does not mean that they are needed (or indeed wanted) in this game.

No. It's one of the things that put me off WoW and I enjoy FFXIV does not need that kind of stuff to make it "playable". Seriously. No.

It means those people probably want them. Don't speak for people you haven't been elected to speak for. It's ok to express your own viewpoint without trying to invoke a majority you may or may not actually have.

I didn't say it was perfect, just quite good. *grins*

Anywho, what you are talking about is exactly the kind of changes I'd like to see. Addons like Move Anything was good for these kind of changes.

See everyone? This what I was talking about. Nothing game changing and certainly not anything to create this kind of have and have not situations.

If S.E. can do this in-house as new game features so much the better!

A personal dps meter would be great! Healing meters I'm less sold on. That's because your healing numbers depend more on the expertise of the other members than your own performance.

Wrong train of thought. I'm talking about the convenience of those add-ons. I certainly don't miss WoW.

Again, I'm specifically talking about re-skins, HuD Changers, ets... Any add-on which threaten to be mandatory should never be allowed in FFXIV. n

There'd probably have to be come kind of official repository for mods so they could be offered to both platforms. This would require some manpower from SE to manage, but still much less manpower than having to make all the mods themselves.
Each gaming company can make the API public to the players, thus they can develop their own programs for the game etc
Look at Destiny 2 for example. Theres website/mobile apps we can transfer gear between our alt characters and main or from our vault to our character without every going to the vault in person, others used the API to make mobile games, others to find Lore etc... As long as theres nothing that creates an advantage between other players a company may allow it[as long as thei make the API public on their own]

DPS Meter for example isnt hard to develop tbh, theres other reasons why SE wont add it xD
