They don't know it causes immortality, though. Heck, we don't even know it does... One mad lad is not a good sample size, we don't even have enough Resonant to form a good sample size for this, we could pop Fordolas head off to see if she's immortal too, but that's about it. I'm incline to think other factors are at play with Zenos reviving, even if it is just the Resonant there is no saying it's 100% immortality, it's already 1% to even survive the procedure, could also be 1% to gain immortality from it.

Still, Garlemald in general had no idea Zenos even died at Ala Mhigo, and nobody even knew he survived until moments before Varis was cut down. I doubt anyone has any clue Project Resonant can grant immortality, it would only be seen as an artificial-Echo project to help combat Primals, with an incredibly low success rate. I doubt anyone in power remotely cares about the project at all, soldiers lives probably mean little to them so having them survive tempering or not matters little. The project probably died in Ala Mhigo because of that. Pretty sure it'll just remain a plot point to explain why Zenos is as powerful as he is, and nothing more.
