You're right.. but at the same time none of that would've happened if that person didn't send him a death threat. A DEATH THREAT for saying what Mr.Happy and other raiders have been saying for YEARS. :cIt almost sounds like there are toxic people on the internet and in all gaming communities, and people like to generalise that a game's entire community is reflected by a minority of toxic people they've happened to have encountered...
I've encountered none of it...
EDIT: I thought Scottzone got himself banned by doxxing a person who sent him abuse...?
You can't blame a community for his actions, can you?
So is an entire community responsible for that death threat?
Or is it the person who sent the death threat?
Panting these actions as the actions of a 'community' is what fuels the toxicity. You fuel the tribalism responsible for it. It puts people on the defensive and makes them feel attacked, because they identify as a part of that community.

No I'm just saying the most toxic things I've seen have been outside the game. I'm not saying EVERY.SINGLEPERSON is toxic. What I AM saying is the most toxic I've seen have been outside the game. And just cause YOU haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It exist... hell this toxic exist which proves my point. Look at the replies here. just in this topic.

We're all using personal anecdotes to try to quantify the amount of toxicity within an entire community, in order to paint that entire community as either 'toxic' or 'not toxic' to suit our own personal agenda against that community, based on whether we identify as a part of that community or not...
That's toxic.
We're all posting on these forums.
We're all a part of this community.
Are we all toxic?

The most toxic thing I see in this topic... is people calling different communities toxic... which they wouldn't be doing if this topic was never made.
All this topic is doing is pitting those who identify as a part of this community, against those who don't.

It's nice to see you know every REAL raider huh. Guess none are toxic.I'mma make this claim now. REAL raiders aren't toxic, it's the wantables who buys their clears thinking it grants them the awesome status, the people who THINK they are awesome, the ones who THINK they are perfect that are toxic. REAL raiders second guess themselves all the time, REAL raiders aren't even worried about other players unless those players are in their raid group, REAL raiders keep to themselves because they are mostly just trying to up their preformance to be the best they can be. It's the fakers and liars that are toxic, that go and shame learning/new players. I'm a noob raider and every raider I've ever talked too, be it in discord, ingame, or on youtube is the same. Just people who want to be the best. What you're seeing is ALOT of fakers who don't work and buy their clears thinking they are the best and shaming everyone else cause they bought their account and feel ashamed they couldn't clear.
This is just what I noticed.

If anyone dares to say they liked Eureka or that they don't think a certain lore breaking addition should be made to the game, that person is referred to as a troll on these forums. Imagine an individual receiving replies by numerous people all saying the exact same thing and becoming quite nasty in the process. Imagine the repliers making themselves into victims as well. It is worse here than in game, which is why I rarely post here. I won't even post in the reddit. You are more likely to find real advice and learn more on the alternative reddit, which is only there for the memes and jokes.
In my first post you replied too also noted I only said - it's all the same- I'm not saying this place is more or less. To me I see the same things all over the place. This place is no more nice then the sonice fanbase, or street fighter one on shoryuken.com or any anime base or whatever you have here. They ALL have toxic people in it and that doesn't make them good OR bad. just normal. I do see more fights on this forum and reddit then I EVER do in game but that's niether here or there. THAT is what I've been saying. I'm just NOT going to say it's all lovey and huggy here when I see people get peopel banned on HERE and on twitch or youtube, when people in THIS base send DEATH threats to people cause of an old opinion being brought to life, when youtubers are SCARED to post their actual opinion on videos because people WILL attack them. It's literally in most videos reviewing THIS game. Even SONIC doesn't have THAT kindof rep.I never said it doesn't exist, I said I haven't encountered it.
