The Raiders selling clears and Savage drops on the PF for Paypal Transfers, that's RMT right there. Customers pay them RL money and in return they get clears and Savage drops. Literally no difference between them and the Aethersand bots.

Except people buying clears doesn’t negatively affect server economies, which gathering and crafting bots do negatively affect server economies. It also doesn’t affect the gameplay of others: people buying their clears doesn’t affect my clears in any way. But a bot flooding the Aethersand market and subsequently crashing it hurts any legitimate gatherer’s attempts to make money.

But please: do educate how people buying Savage/Ultimate clears via RMT (by the way, RMT means Real Money Trade; so they’re paying for these clears with a real currency, not Gil) negatively hurts a virtual, in-game community that uses a virtual currency.

If what you say is true that gathering bots are destroying the economy, you would think that by 2019, the economy would be so dead that nobody would be crafting and gathering anymore xD. But then again, Raider's don't really think, They just watch guides and use 3rd party apps that execute combos for them so all they have to do is move their character.

Congratulations for not really proving anything or providing an answer to my question. Somehow, I don’t think the raiders are the ones who “don’t really think” here. This is just more anti-raider rhetoric that serves no purpose other than to bash “those toxic elitist raiders”. Why don’t you take that somewhere else and try to actually contribute to the discussion at hand.


Just because the economy “isn’t dead xD” doesn’t mean that the DoL/DoH bots aren’t a problem. My server has dealt with crafting bots flooding the food and potions markets throughout the entirety of SB—to the point where there were thousands of food/pots in all applicable, current raid-tier markets, and both were a couple thousand gil a piece. Which effectively calls into question: is it worth it to even craft these items to sell for such a low profit? Will this price break even in terms of the time I spent gathering the mats and making it?

There was one that would constantly have thousands of Infusions listed in each of the markets. There have been other crafter bots that aggressively undercut items to try and flush out any sort of competition within the market. The same has been the case with aethersands, where prices are tanked due to bots constantly flooding them and there is no real profit being made by the legitimate gatherers doing the work when you consider the time they spent hitting the ephemeral nodes and doing all the gathering versus what they would actually make from the Market Board by listing them.

Those are the concerns people are expressing in this thread. Perhaps try to understand them before drafting a response. And, as I said before, leave your anti-raider rhetoric out of it because this thread has nothing to do with raiders. You aren’t being constructive at all.

Why would it impact the server economy when people buying said clears aren't using gil but real world money? Someone paying $1,000 for an Ultimate clear isn't going to do jack to the server economy.
