it just you. yesterday i had a warrior tell me to pay attention in titania ex when he just randomly decided to swap from puck to the other one because he had a vuln stack. i told him to use his words since i am not psychic, then he started going off on how i didnt use heart of light much. dude almost caused a wipe by switching sides without saying anything. then has the balls to try and blame me. you just meet stupid people once and a while, simple as that.

With all these people talking about how often other people use abilities in combat, I wonder - if their attention is on what others are doing, how the hell are they playing properly? I'm usually too busy doing my thing to pay attention beyond if the other players are afk. :P

They are toxic and they bring their negativity to our game, expecting everyone to play on their demand, using tool to discredit others for few random bad logs. Its been several months since they started to come here, starting to spoil this game with their attitude and lack of tolerance against anyone who is not standing on their fingers when playing the game.
I dont say, i too have some expectations on people i play with, but they are so low that no one needs a parser to meet them.
If you see someone talking anything negative about parsers or logs on you or someone else just report these guys.

Most "fair" raiders aren't toxic. Most both best players and raiders I met were rather pleasant to get along with. The worst have always been the new and "entilted pseudo-pgm" players who imagine we give a d*** f*** about how "outstanding players" they self-suppose they are.

There are also this little part of : "Hey watch how fast I'm levelling I'm outstanding!" as if rush was synonym of good player... rush is rush, not more, not less.

But, currently, what happens too is a litte part of players who used leveling jump potion feel awfully entitled, play FFXIV as they played other MMOs even if they are wrong (don't know how to stuff, don't use CDs, don't know game mechanics etc.).

In fact the worst players and there are a very minority, are the self-proclamed "enough skilled to be part of the world first" who never act to prove it. They are big talk as there are everywere. The best thing to do is to ignore them. From ARR I can tell, the closests from the world first for COIL down were the most discreet.

People lately has gotten worse then normal, players have become more abrasive to others (e.g. using FFlogs or ACT to harass others, false kicking of players from duty finders, and doxing other players on other public platforms) It just shows the lack of respect for other players.
I was talking to some other players I know and I got told from someone that we don't know tell me "Since I didn't clear Savage yet I am considered a trash player....I replied "I am working on clearing it" you would think that would be enough and for them to go away...nope broke out with this tirade saying "I am what makes this community and game garbage" (edited for the forum) and a few other choice words (FYI he bought his account as we found out later on. Keep using players coming from other MMO's to avoid the truth. FFXIV community never was that good (neither is that bad), was always (and will always be) your average online community spiced with social drama.

Seems the more or less the same to me. I've had some bad experiences with people in this game, sure but I don't use them to negate all the good ones nor start putting my tinfoil hat on and holding up a "sky is falling down" picket sign. What I find much more humorous is the claim that this game was like this near perfect utopia before "those people" came in and spoiled it. That's a good laugh for me, a real good one. People making that claim are either delusional into thinking this community was sunshine before "those people" came in or they lived in their safe bubble for so long that when a realist comes by (either from this game or another), all hell breaks loose and suddenly, "is it just me or this community is going down the drain" starts popping up. >.>

This is absolutely not true. FFXIV has always been a very pleasant community. I have played WoW in the past it it was a rotten cesspool. People treat each other like garbage over there. I will just keep reporting them if they cross the line.

I'mma make this claim now. REAL raiders aren't toxic, it's the wantables who buys their clears thinking it grants them the awesome status, the people who THINK they are awesome, the ones who THINK they are perfect that are toxic. REAL raiders second guess themselves all the time, REAL raiders aren't even worried about other players unless those players are in their raid group, REAL raiders keep to themselves because they are mostly just trying to up their preformance to be the best they can be. It's the fakers and liars that are toxic, that go and shame learning/new players. I'm a noob raider and every raider I've ever talked too, be it in discord, ingame, or on youtube is the same. Just people who want to be the best. What you're seeing is ALOT of fakers who don't work and buy their clears thinking they are the best and shaming everyone else cause they bought their account and feel ashamed they couldn't clear.

This is such an important thing to remember in all games, not just FFXIV. So many times when playing online shooters or mobas have I run into these wannabes in casual modes shooting their mouths off about how bad everyone is playing whilst them the golden child is carrying the whole team singlehandedly.

If they really were that good then they’d be playing the ranked modes, same goes for these guys, if they really were that good then they’d be doing it in a premade team and not through duty finder. Plus you’re definitely nowhere near as bad as they’re making you out to be

Just gonna put this out there.Most of these kind of threads and stories i see for the most part have one thing in common.The home servers from the players making the threads are majority of the time from US servers.
I rarely see any of the kind of things being mentioned these days on EU data centre be it in threads or from personal experience.Overall i think the player community as a whole has become better.You obviously will get the occasionally salty person in raid/ex's but thats normal to be honest.
