That said, yes, I consider the issue of the sales to be related to the addition of the missing genders, as the company is likelier to consider it if there is profit to be made out of their addition, to justify the cost.

Western includes NA, EU, Australia/New Zealand/South America and anything else not considered Eastern countries, so yes we are actually the bigger audience when you go and total them all up for FFXIV.

The SA region doesn't politic the same way the NA/EU does and even then its localized to the 'right think' countries, and next to no one cares about the AustZelianders. And lets be honest here, when people say Western Audience they only mean the NA region. So no, its not. None of the censorship changes that companies are making have anything to do with any other region but NA.

And thats not to even acknowledge the fundamental differences between 'Wester' and 'Eastern' gaming. There are metric tons of quality games that the West just flat out doesn't get.

Clearly you don't know that South Park The stick of Truth had to censor out Randy from being probed for EU countries having a specific censorship image over it while NA was perfectly fine, so yes companies DO have to change their content depending on the region they want to sell to, FFXIV would be no exception.

Way to go being dismissive of a good amount of people, Western Audience IS NOT JUST NA get over yourself and anyone else who thinks this you do not own western culture, just like Japan does not own eastern culture.
