I'd be really OK if they didn't waste time developing mostly useless features for extremely niche systems.

I would expect any "alternate costumes" to be built from pre-existing clothing pieces, so it probably wouldn't be much time investment at all, since the "change costume" system is already in place (unless they built it to be a single on/off switch).
I would also like to have Urianger in his Dravanian robe from the WoD arc. It suited him.

That's still a nonzero amount of time that could go to something that's actually useful.I would expect any "alternate costumes" to be built from pre-existing clothing pieces, so it probably wouldn't be much time investment at all, since the "change costume" system is already in place (unless they built it to be a single on/off switch).

Yes but the amount of resources and time that would be put towards this would be utterly inconsequential. Plus, usefulness is subjective. So, you're kinda just coming off selfish here. Like, I don't really do savage raids, so they aren't "useful" to me. So should I be running around yelling for the devs to stop working on savage raids? Nah, cause others like savage and others would like this system and expansions upon it.

No more selfish than the people asking for this. We're both advocating for development time to be used in a way that benefits us to the exclusion of others.Yes but the amount of resources and time that would be put towards this would be utterly inconsequential. I mean, yes, but also no. If we went by allocating dev time to only the things that benefit the most people, then...we'd only get MSQ and MSQ dungeons. Everything else would just fall to the wayside because everything else is niche to some degree or another. Again, I don't really do savage raids, but I'm not gonna call for dev time for savage raids to be diverted elsewhere just because it isn't useful to me. Because I know that others dig savage. But what we have with you, is a blanket statement that the feature would be useless (which is a subjective opinion.), and therefore should not be considered in any form. There's a key difference there.
Folks in this thread are not calling for dev work to be halted on something else in order to fulfill this request ASAP. They're more just calling for "Hey, when you have time, maybe consider this?" Which is why, from my perspective, the "This will take dev time away, so no." response, is pretty selfish. Dev time is not as cramped as everyone thinks it is. It's not crunch time 24/7, a request like this would likely only need two people tops and probably wouldn't even take a full work day and would likely be done at a point where all the big projects have been done and dusted, or are close to being done to the point they don't need as many bodies on that one thing.

I'm not interested in how you rationalize your bias. Opportunity cost is always a thing. For any addition, countless other things must be sacrificed.I mean, yes, but also no. ^ Bah, people like this always make me mad, they're such party poopers. I'm a PvPer, and I always see people complain about "a waste of resources" when I make PvP suggestions, or when Pvpers get one new thing an expansion.
If people want stuff in the game, they're allowed to ask for it on the forums, it's what it's here for.
And just because you're not in the "niche", it doesn't mean the playerbase shouldn't have it.

I never said anyone wasn't allowed to ask for it, but by the same token I'm allowed to voice disagreement.^ Bah, people like this always make me mad, they're such party poopers.
