I just wish these dungeons would drop more weapons, you can go 10 runs and be stuck with an i400 weapon unless you're willing to foot anywhere from 60-200k on a level relevant weapon off the MBDepends. I don't issues with people wearing full augmented scaeven gear up to qitana. Holminster's gear is actually below 400, Ilmheg's equal and Qitana's sitting at 406 and it's not realistic to expect someone to be full 406 before Qitana, without actually attempted Qitana several times beforehand.
The problem starts rising when they keep that all that scaeven gear starting at malikah and beyond. It really shows and the excuse that "it's hard to get gear" is a bad one. People say "oh but I've been doing lvling roulette only cuz that's all the time I have". How about instead of doing that lvling roulette at 77, just queue directly for Qitana for a day or two. At the worst, you'll have at least 2 pieces of gear guaranteed for your job and at best, maybe more.

You need an average ilvl of 48 to even get in that dungeon. No excuse, but the rest of her gear must have been okish.I queued up for 50/60/70 as a tank and land in Pharos Sirius (the level 50 version). I check the healer's gear - she is wearing a level 33 normal quality cane and a mix of other rubbish. I ask her why she is wearing such terrible gear, she says she is levelling. Is this really an acceptable excuse, or just delusion?
I have never left a dungeon so fast in my life.

Then it's time to buck up and do those sidequests that reward hq weapons. It might not be someone cup of tea but it is there as an alternative. Flip them at the mb, use that money to get your weapon.
Again, the choice is in the player's hand. You want to risk getting mt. gulg for lvling roulette while in full scaevan gear? fine. But you will you be one of those people bow out gracefully from it? Or better yet, explain your situation from the get-go to other party members and resign yourself to whatever their verdict is?
Past experience during the first phase of SB and this one tells me the latter above rarely happens and people just hope no one notices and carries them.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Sounds like a 1:1 repeat of SB with Shire gear. Shire tanks in Abania...Depends. I don't issues with people wearing full augmented scaeven gear up to qitana. My favourite excuse is "not worth buying new gear, I'll get full iLvl 400 in 2 lvls" - I don't give a flying something about what they get in 2 levels. Not when they're standing undergeared in a dungeon right now. Another thing I recently read "but it feels so much cooler if I can upgrade from full 270 to full 400 instead of trying to get new gear before 70".
Let me show you the door real quick ...

I thought only the MSQ gave weapon coffers, and that aside there's only maybe 1 sidequest that gives a weapon coffer at most, so it's not like you can use it to level multiple jobs. Then it's time to buck up and do those sidequests that reward hq weapons. People seriously make WAY too big a deal about other people wearing lower level gear. I'm leveling my PLD right now and was wearing most of my Augmented Shire gear all the way to 70 because of Road to 70 + Armoury bonus making it impractical to farm dungeons for gear as I went. I was really cautious about going into Doma Castle and Castra Abania after reading everyone in this thread complaining about similar things... turns out my fears were unfounded. Doma Castle runs went fine and my first Abania run I actually had a healer, who was also mostly in 270 Shire gear, tell me to it was okay to go faster and pull more.Sounds like a 1:1 repeat of SB with Shire gear. Anyone complaining about someone wearing Ironworks or Shire gear at the end of their level ranges needs to git gud. They are perfectly viable sets to wear for the full ten levels.

So most of your runs we're composed of everyone wearing Shire gear? Or did you have 2-3 people wearing better stuff most of the time? I find people tend to leave the latter out of their memories A LOT when they describe how they had no issues lvling.People seriously make WAY too big a deal about other people wearing lower level gear. They still reward hq gear, of various level mind you (the highest one naturally sells the best) and you can flip those at the mb. This what I did for my mnk. It was my fourth job but it ended up at 78 without any better weapon (despite having run the ShB dgns countless times until it came to level it). Flipped some lvl 74-78 coffers of various gear, traveled across all words for the cheapest mnk weapon, bought it.
I'm not saying all of this happened for me in a snap but the opportunities are there in the game and I took advantage of them instead of resigning myself to circumstances.

You're forgetting that you're doing it now during Shb. When SB hit, having Shire tanks in Abania was a nightmare.People seriously make WAY too big a deal about other people wearing lower level gear. A lot has changed since then and while huge pulls at the start of Bardam's were almost guaranteed to fail miserably, you can easily manage them now. So please, keep your "git gud" out of this. I don't mind it that much now (though things like "feels cooler" are just a proof that someone doesn't give a flying something about teamplay) but I don't need a repeat of SB when it was still current.
I agree with alot of this. People are way too gear sensitive. BUT It is levelling. Once the ilvl drops in dungeons catch up to your lvl 50/60/70 gear you should be getting drops from pretty much every leveling dungeon you do (not to mention the one time msq items) that are better. So, until your next job crate of level appropriate gear drops there should be some replacement going on. If you still have a couple pieces of 50 gear but the rest is a hodgepodge of levelling stuff I don't really see a problem, as long as it's as good or better than the zone appropriate NQ vendor items they put there for people who really have crappy luck with drops.
