I dont want to turn this into a huge discussion, but let me just say that so far every expansion had jobquests, that the mainstory tells you that there are jobquests for all different jobs, that the healer-jobquest starts in the same location as the other ones that you've been told about and that the MSQ told you about the jobset and how to unlock it.
Someone who has leveled all jobs to at least 70 should have also stumbled over the fact that there are jobsets for all jobs... putting 2 and 2 together shouldnt be that difficult here.

But I guess the game is still not doing enough hand holding for people like this RDM who must have put hundreds of hours into the game without understanding some basic principles.

Considering you can't finish a ShB playthrough without finishing a role quest you're basicly forced to before you can even do anything leading the rest of the way to amarot. you have no excuse for not realizing you have the role quest and if you do the natural thing and talk to him again you'll realize his promise about making a armor set for you was exactly that. now if you skip cutscenes then no you won't know any of that. so that's likely what the rdm did.

So I tanked a Titania normal run as GNB and I'm still fuming other this PLD. So me and my buds get in and I see he's a returning player and watching the cs.

When the barrier falls down, I wait a bit to see if he's gonna put on his tank stance. He doesn't so I put on mine and pull.

And then after the puddles, he puts on his tank stance and for the rest of the round, tries to provoke the boss everytime the CD is up. And I mean everytime!

So of course I tell him to stop several times, in his language mind you, but to no avail.

Then we get on the add phase. I pull the add to the north and....he tries to provoke it. I tell him to stop and tank the add to west but once again, it's useless.

And I couldn't help but notice he would cleave people left and right with markers after the shiva mechanic and during "Bigger is better!". And of course he ignored the stack marker.

We wipe on the second add phase. When we get all rezzed, I kinda tell him to stop what he was doing and you know, git gud at stuff he saw in every dungeons/trials before?

His answer: "Sorry."

Oh so now you're sorry...

We cleared on the second pull but I had to tell him when to turn on his tank stance, when to turn it off, and to tank the add to the west, because otherwise he wouldn't have done any of those.

Was in the twinning and the co-dps who was a dragoon used the dragon eye damage buff skill on the healer literally everytime instead of me -_-
Generally nobody in that run said hello or anything to each other.

Leveling PLD through Malikah's Well. Got WHM, SAM, and BLM, so I thought "Great, they have good AOE." so I pulled the first 2 sets of mobs. After 20sec, I noticed the adds were still somehow above 50% health which is odd and it took us another 20sec to finally kill all but one. The WHM was spamming Holy while keeping me alive, so it's not their fault.

I started pulling small after that and tried to see what the DPS were doing. I'm not expert of SAM but I know enough to tell that they were doing fine.

Now the BLM though....

Their AOE rotation was Freeze > Freeze > Freeze > Fire II > Fire II > Flare > repeat.

I don't think they had Enochian either, letting their Astal Fire expires between pulls

While for the boss, their rotation was Blizzard > Blizzard > Blizzard > Blizzard IV > Fire till oom > Convert > repeat, sometimes casting Foul in between.

They responded to chat so not bot, which just made it even more awful that they could get to the lvl without knowing an ounce of their job.

You know what I've really come to appreciate out of BLMs after capping it? :

-It's a no-nonsense job. It might possibly be (afaik cuz I haven't capped others yet) the only job in the game you can't "wing it" to play to level it up.

-With that said, it also makes it the easiest to notice when it's not played properly.

Suffice to say, if I ever get partied with a blm and I'm mass pulling and I don't see double flares going out, I'm showing you the door. I can even excuse not seeing thunder dots but double flares are non-negotiable.

At least yours were using AoE, the mentor BLM i met in Dohn Melg was using mix ilvl 330 gears with rotation of Thunder IV - blizzard 3 - trapose - fire - fire iv - fire - fire iv until out of mp - trapose - blizzard - blizzard - thunder IV in a multi pull trash mobs
I noticed that the mobs were taking far too long to die, the whm accused the warrior tank failing to use holmgang as a last resort because all of their abilities were probably on cool down. After I pointed out how the BLM performed, the whm said "dang.. Can I just exit fast now?"

The tank (French client) and the BLM (Deutch client) said nothing throughout the run

I queued up for 50/60/70 as a tank and land in Pharos Sirius (the level 50 version). I check the healer's gear - she is wearing a level 33 normal quality cane and a mix of other rubbish. I ask her why she is wearing such terrible gear, she says she is levelling. Is this really an acceptable excuse, or just delusion?

I have never left a dungeon so fast in my life.

FWIW, I've given the DNC dance partner buff to the healer before, once it became clear they were doing more damage than both the dps and tank. Holy spam > single target dps.

Has anybody noticed people going in SHB dungeons with their 70 gear?
I just did the 79 dung and people are still using 70 gear...
He pulled the entire mob and I couldn't keep up...now I see why because the BLM's gear...

Oh and PLD kept using Clemency at 80% then tells me he
got yelled at earlier for using self-heal.
Poor guy must have PTSD lmao.

I get lowkey salty over that kind of stuff. I've also dance partnered the other dancer and they just throw theirs on the tank, so I passive aggressively take my buff away from them and throw it on the healer instead.

I've also had runs where the AST spammed cards on one person ignoring everyone else. Albeit said person was good (Had a few pieces of savage gear) but I was keeping up with them while they were getting card spam, so yeah.

Depends. I don't issues with people wearing full augmented scaeven gear up to qitana. Holminster's gear is actually below 400, Ilmheg's equal and Qitana's sitting at 406 and it's not realistic to expect someone to be full 406 before Qitana, without actually attempted Qitana several times beforehand.

The problem starts rising when they keep that all that scaeven gear starting at malikah and beyond. It really shows and the excuse that "it's hard to get gear" is a bad one. People say "oh but I've been doing lvling roulette only cuz that's all the time I have". How about instead of doing that lvling roulette at 77, just queue directly for Qitana for a day or two. At the worst, you'll have at least 2 pieces of gear guaranteed for your job and at best, maybe more.
