Probably in 2.0 they can make a system easier for you to switch between GC and stuff...

For the parts of your project you can't complete because of no video from other GC you can just insert my sexy sublimen image if that will make you happy...

The companies have different viewpoints. It's the sort of thing that makes the world feel cohesive and adds some nice non-gameplay weight into your decisions. You aren't going to see everything and a branching/varying story helps keep things fresh. Sorry it messes up your project but it's a dumb reason to get so unjustifiably angry over something. Like people said, you can get others to help you out with it or you can even make new characters that you can switch between every month once new cutscenes come out or whatever.

I know, but that means those of us in Maelstrom are potentially being excluded from super-awesome cutscenes like the one of Nael+Gaius. I mean, seriously. You don't get to see the two Legatus together like that very often, do you?!

You probably got a cutscene too, like i said before Ul'dah got a sweet one with Cid and one of the Legatus. It's not a big deal at all and you will no doubt get some later stuff like naval cs's and junk.

I got Cid and the Black Wolf, yeah. But I really wanted to get Darnus and Gaius, so I could fraps it and use it as stock footage for the video project. :|

The problem is that if I do that, oftentimes, people who capture it will have a piss rig that can't capture at 30FPS and end up having stuttery footage, or be undersized for my standards.

It'd be nice if I had direct support from Square Enix on this, but I can't keep wishing for it. Ever since people became apathetic to the art of Machinima filmmaking, I've been finding it difficult to produce anything.

Honestly, it'd be nice if they had added Goblin Footprints early on and made it possible for us to view the other GC cutscenes whenever we finish a quest that gives us our GC's cutscene.

That's a terrible idea IMHO, I don't care if I miss out on a small CS, some gear for my main, as long as the 3 companies continue to have a unique view on events. I'd rather have 3 seperate stories for 3 seperate groups than 1 generic story for all 3.

If your really itching to see the other GC's events that's what Youtube is for. I for one am glad my choice of Grand Company continues to hold some weight instead of just giving me the illusion of consequences for my choice.

As for your "Project" like others have brought up have others join the other GC's and get in on the action, this is how they do it in every other project like this, that or be happy with the footage you can aquire. Maybe next update Limsa Lominsa will have a epic ship battle and Gridanias get to stare at some trees.

I like it when things are unique, last thing I want is SE to just pull a WOTG on us and have half the missions be the same regardless of who you are aligned with.
