And he's the rude one eh? It affects your project, but it's not SE's fault though and the best thing you can do is get a friend who in OTHER GC's to help you with it, this is how most video projects are done on MMORPGs to begin with.

Oh, Lord, how I long for your silence.Ok. I am offended by this.
I went Maelstrom because I wanted the red outfit.
And because of that decision I'm being excluded from these cutscenes?
Yoshi-P, you have just lost a huge chunk of my respect.
These cutscenes would have been fantastic for my video project that I'm doing for FFXIV, and because I can't afford to have additional characters, nor the time to grind them up to do the GC quests, I'm being excluded?!
F*ck you.
Screw you straight to hell, devs.
Yes, I actually feel that strongly about splitting up the story among nations, especially when you account for the fact that we can't transfer to other Grand Companies. Considering the fact that we won't get to see this content again in 2.0, this is extremely damaging. Unless there is significant backpedaling/apologizing/fixing done to correct this issue, I doubt I will be allowing my subscription to continue past the current 90-day period.
If people are willing to be rude to someone who puts energy into being creative, I am quite justified in being rude right back. And about the suggestion, you're right. I'll have to look into that.
Dear players; if you want a response to your threads, your best chance is not to address the staff in your topic title. It's their policy not to respond to threads that specifically request their attention under most circumstances.
Look, other than some differences in the cutscenes, the story is basically the same regardless of which way you go. the same events unfold yada yada yada. It's really not a big deal. I can't wait to see the "What? I don't get to play these things?" threads after 2.0 comes out and this stuff becomes inaccessible.
Hence my raegface in this thread - the odds of the devs ever seeing me making this face are slim.
In before everyone jumps the gun on this...oh wait.
I guess the game having multiple storylines is a sin! I'm sure SE will be sure to give everyone the exact same CS next time due to people whining about it. Thanks alot guys.
Honestly, it'd be nice if they had added Goblin Footprints early on and made it possible for us to view the other GC cutscenes whenever we finish a quest that gives us our GC's cutscene.
For example, we do the Private Third Class quest "Alive" for Maelstrom, complete it, and get access to all three GC cutscenes for that rank. That would have been a much more palatable solution.
There is a problem with that suggestion, though...I just realized it just now. It will be EXTREMELY difficult to find someone who has NOT done the cutscenes, and are of a sufficient level, because...well. There's no replay function. So the majority of the higher ranks will have already completed those quests and have already passed those cutscenes.
That's a major stumbling block.
someone needs to calm down in this thread LOL... anyways if the 3 stories all have similar story with just minor changes to dialog or events then I'm OK I guess. If I'm going to miss a cool cut scene because it's not in my GC then I'm gonna be one sad sublimen... lol
That's exactly the problem we are talking about here. We are seeing different cutscenes between Grand Companies right now...
