I'm terrible at doing the walkway, so I will say yes, I've tried, multiple times. The gap is just big enough to make it so you can't jump across the first narrow part, but you can jump across the rest of the way at the last bend in the path.
Late reply, but that's what I meant. They go for a spot and not a person. It works for that, but it's not always going to be the best way to do it. I've not taken trusts outside of Holminster, so I've not tested any dungeon beyond that, but I imagine they are all relatively the same. I bet they still won't go chasing after a runner, though.
Don't be afraid. Maybe watch a Video of the fight before you hop in and doing your thing. I guess it wasn't Savage where one Player can wipe the Group. It was a bitter way to finish an expansion that I had simply adored, every minute of it.
I haven't dared to queue for akademia, twinning and even less the Eden raid, though I'd love to try them but... I don't think I am up to what people expect and I don't want to ruin anyone's time, or feel bad for playing a game in which I am not good enough, but that I do love to bits and pieces. Sorry for the long story... But long story short, the trusts made me learn much without stress and drama and I wish they expanded the system to cover everything related to the main scenario from now on. For people like me, it would be wonderful.
There isn't always that one person who wants to ruin the day for other people. Btw, to me it sounds as if this incident was reportable.
You've told the Group that it was your first try. Harassment perhaps?
Enjoy the game. Have fun. Don't let the losers get you down.
Well they are scripted, so try to imagine what the scripts have to tell them when Boss mechanics begin; those scripts need time and gaps of zero casting on each of those characters to make sure they get to PointA-to-PointB with just enough time to allow the actual player to react to what the trusts are doing while mechanics are going off.
Trusts aren't there to over-perform, they are there as a teaching tool and an quick entry point into the level 71+ Dungeon content.
I personally would love to see the SE team do more with the Trusts in the future and perhaps expand on their AI scripts and perhaps give them optional Dungeon buffs similar to what the Squadron content gets as you level Squads up.

When I was leveling Drk I would shirk onto Alphinaud because he let me die to the second Boss in Don Mheg... also while leveling white mage I'd try to use rescue on Thancred.... it doesnt work *cry* he's let me die tooSo has anyone trolled the AI? I attempted to get Urianger killed by Tesleen when she marked everyone. I was marked 1 and Urianger was marked 2 so I stood behind him. He actually adjusted to try to get out of the way but I'm tenacious. The man actually survived getting bowled over by Tesleen three times.
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!

Thank you so much for your words, you truly made me smile. And you're right, some nasty creatures here and there are a low price to pay for the detail, love and care that has been put in the creation of this game. Better to send those incidents to the Void! I don't want to digress from the thread, but today I had the opposite experience, I had World of Darkness pop in Alliance roulette (I had not raided before, but I really wanted to do the Crystal Tower series) and this WHM took the time to explain every single mech to me as we went through it. Wonderful person (if you ever read this, Idej, hats off to you!), and the run was a ton of fun and a beautiful story. That WHM and you made my day in FF today.
As for Trusts, I will still love them. They are fun, they are characters you bond with, and they make me learn, even from my mistakes. I do hope they expand the Trust system as much as possible into future content. Although I promise I won't forget that kind and understanding people as you guys are also playing, and that it'd be a shame to miss them. I might use the PF with something like "level 80 noob willing to learn and get her first clear" for post-80 dungeons so I won't be an undesirable surprise for any random party, lol. Thank you again, Glennfiddich!
For the 'cross' type stack they always move to the middle. However for the 'line-aoe' type stack they will move to wherever that stack marker is rather than the center. So since they can be programmed to move towards a certain type of stack, I'm not sure why they don't do so for all types of stacks.Late reply, but that's what I meant. They go for a spot and not a person. It works for that, but it's not always going to be the best way to do it. You can see this in Holminster in the last boss. If you get the line-aoe stack marker... try moving around and you'll see the Trust NPC's will chase after you trying to stack correctly.
Well, it's not a bad strategy to move to the centre for the stack. Think of it like you marked a spot and everyone will move to it when the marker comes up, rather than shuffling around to adjust to each other's position.
For Holminster at least, it's a good position to be in anyway because the ring of AoE circles come up around the centre but not on it.
You can TRUST that they'll be slow, but constant.

Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
This is an MMORPG. You should always be encouraged to do group content with a group of players, not NPCs. The inefficiency of the NPCs is necessary to balance it with normal groups. You can do group content solo... but at a price.
