It's time to remove job restrictions on glamour...

I think having the option to use different glamours on same gear for different classes would be better. Sadly glamour sets are limited though.. maybe different types of glamour prisms that apply glamours for only one class? I don't know how it could be done but I would appreciate a convenient way to differentiate my tank glamours from each other.

That is what glamour plates are for (limitations thereof notwithstanding) and is outside the scope of this discussion.

Yes, glamour plates need to be made better/more accessible (ie let me apply the dumb things no matter where I am), but improving that doesn't mean that they can't also allow me to wear Cobalt Gauntlets or well....anything that isn't AF gear on my healer.

Better idea. Ask the dev team to create more diverse armor sets.
Some armor for casters. Some cloth for Tanks and Physical Dps, and some bikini armor and etc.

Outside of AF gear none of this makes sense.

My plumber wears street clothes and my doctor doesn't always wear his white doctor's robe cause all that matters is their certification/degree. Or in this case or JOB ICONS....

Like does no one look at that? Or the weapon some one has or what skill someone is using?

If someone in full tank glamour starts casting medica II, I man it's painfully obvious that's the healer.

I feel like when people or devs say "Well people might confused"...I almost feel like it's an insult.
Meanwhile, Frogs/Chocos/Snowmen are battling for they lives against Primals. Makes sense.

I also want to remind people, the ROG "AF" outfit can be worn by all, under the name of Pagos.
Some of the Pagos' items are remakes of old sets open to all now.
The Culottes are Magic DPS set I think somewhere in the 50/60 outfits.
The feather thing is something that healers had in the 50/60 range.
I only agree that AF's should stay within the jobs. Those are too iconic to spread around (Minus the ROG's?)
Just baffled why people are honestly against the idea of more glamour options.

At this point with all the animal glamours and hundreds of clothes, I wouldn't mind if the remove the restriction, maybe just the artifact armor to keep it.

Literally all I want on BLM is for the Mindbreaker (WHM staff from Gold Saucer) to be glamourable to me or for me to be able to dye the Shantotto Staff from Eureka.

Weapons and job/class specific gear (artifact sets for jobs and the doh/dol class specific sets once per expansion) should not be glamourable outside of their jobs.

But I think the role based gear, fending, casting, healing etc, should be. As the above screenshot and countless examples show, the idea that you can tell what say, a paladin is by looking at their gear, or a bard, isn't really true. You have countless level 1 glamour items any job can use, on top of many sets that are all designed around a theme like Shisui, Sky Rat, etc, where the differences between the tank gear and healing gear is actually pretty minimal.

Now, maybe decoupling glamour restrcitions from equipable restrictions would be too hard with the sphagetti code. But I don't buy the arguement of making sure jobs look and feel distinct at this point.
