Now the GNB starter gear and right side is fine for this dungeon but.. A lv 15 belt! You have to intentionally equip that even if you use equip rec gear.

As a player with no max. level job, this happened to me, luckily outside of dungeons, on both the 50er jobs RDM + SAM. Precisely because I didn't have anything better at hand, and it looks really out of place ^^. I don't know the GNB's history but I guess if they had had other max level jobs (or tank(s)), some higher ilevel belt should have been possible by whatever means possible.

Haven't really had an encounter worth sharing for awhile, thought this was a funny conversation. Just got out of a Holminster Switch while leveling my samurai. The tank and healer couldn't handle big pulls at all. We wiped twice on the pulls inbetween first to second boss.



For context this healer was trying to do DPS to make up for the supposed lack of damage, and wasn't healing the tank, who wasn't using CD properly, who was dying almost instantaneously. The healer left immediately after they stood in aoe and died, to a small pull by the way, and the tank followed right after. Both me and the other DPS (machinist) were using AOE on mobs, and we killed the first boss quick. They were actually better than me.

Anyway, got my first Titania clear yesterday. 5th pull into a clear party for 3.
We could've made it closer to enrage though (sorry for terrible quality, I play on ps4)

my Holmster switch story for yesterday:

I got to learn how squishy Warrior can feel when you got a Whm who forgets to make sure to keep a better eye on my hp so im not juggling 50% or less through a lot of my mass pulls. but then again part of it is also the fact i also need to get less rusty at tanking again. its so easy to collect rust on it that every time i swap tanks the first one is always the worst one then everyone after that is business as usual.


aside from the first masspull going 90% south every single one after that till the 4 mob gate portion right at last boss zone everything went fine. boss fights went fine, save the dragoon immediately eating shit after a 'who's tanking then floor now' joke from the first mass pull. which amused me. (talk shit get hit. died twice on the final boss XD) got me two comms anyways.

Also can i just point this out...can white mages just...either get to the holy spam so i can then hit arms length when the stun resistance is maxed? not WHEN I HIT ARMS LENGTH? I been having this problem with whm a lot where they feel like they pick random times to start holy spamming so im sitting there holding arms length expecting it to start. then we apparently both go 'i guess he's not gonna do it' and then canceling it out...

The mechanics demand that i move in order to not get hit and go SPLAT!

The Samurai demands that i stand still so the boss doesn't turn or move.

If i move to do mechanics the Samurai gets mad at me for moving the boss.

If i stay still to ensure the boss stays put i die and then everyone gets mad at me.

I can't both move and stay still at the same time, and both ways lead to people raging at me.

What am i supposed to do?

Sounds like a shit samurai. Samurai should be using true north skill to keep his renki up properly upon skills used anyways.

Just sounds like someone to ignore to be honest. And should he/she continue after a failed try, get kicked.

If possible, position the boss in a way that if the samurai wants uptime, he has to stand in something.
