I've been looking but can find an answer. How do you run more than 4 airships/subs at the same time? or is 4 at a time the limit?

Each FC is limited to a maximum of 4 airships and or submersibles total out at a given time. If you see people providing info on more, it's because they have access to multiple fcs.

And do the frame parts have better stats than the normal ones? or are they only used as mats for the new sub parts?

The modified parts (you can view them on the market board) are direct upgrades of the part being modified. Some are bigger upgrades to their original versions than others.

Yeah don't go by my ship/sub numbers if that's what's being referred to -- our FC has merged with two smaller ones over the years and we took over management of their houses and are running full fleets from them.
