I will always be a healer, I always level the 3 of them and usually pick my favourite one as 'main' but regularly play the 3
1.0: WHM
2.0: SCH
3.0: AST
4.0: WHM/AST
5.0: SCH/WHM
Can't see myself having a main not being a healing class.

I started to play AST as my first healer in 3.0 and fell in love with it, I decided to level up Conj and I hated it because it was so boring to play but once I got WHM to 60, it was really fun and I enjoyed the simplicity of White mage.so there was two healer jobs I mailed and then 5.0 comes along and takes everything i love about Astrologian and throws it in the trash. 5.0 white mage is fun and I'm really enjoying it.
As for DPS, they all feel samey to me, I leveled red mage and I loved the utility of the job but when 5.0 comes and red mage has no more utilities of white magic ( vercure II or a ver-regen) and just more DPS spells....I also understand that's just how FFXIV is.
I tried GNB but I got bored it on it and I tried dancer but it didn't click with me either
Im Dancer in FFXI and I've been really enjoying the job so far, being able to heal, chainskills, ect. Now that I'm loving ffxi jobs

As for me, I've been playing AST since Heavensward's release, and haven't stopped to this day. But the recent changes have made me move into other roles, specifically to play RDM, DNC, and GNB, rather than just AST, like I had been.
When I feel the need to feel fun and free, I just play PVP-AST and... walk against the wind.
Didnt quit healing, but moved from maining AST to WHM.

Absolutely not, very much enjoying healing this expansion. My SCH is 80, WHM otw to 80. AST is only 67 but I never really took to AST before because the cards were way too annoying. Hated having to fish for AOE balances always, much prefer the remodel especially with the buffs yesterday. SCH is fun, WHM is a blast
You know the new system isnt much different as it just lets you fish for certain seals. If you dont like balance fishing, you wont like this either.Absolutely not, very much enjoying healing this expansion. My SCH is 80, WHM otw to 80. Nope. If I quit healing, I get bored and just plain quit the game. Was WHM main until AST came out, and still probably AST main. WHM is only 57, but what I've always loved about AST is how busy it keeps me.
I still heal, my favourite healer is still AST - it was horrible to level, but once you hit 80 and with better gear, it’s not too bad (although there are still issues) - I feel healing and tanking to be the most interesting jobs to play![]()

Heck no I haven't quit healing. I got all 3 at 80. SCH still my baby but since my static has a SCH (who insists hes gonna level another healer out of preference but hasn't) I started playing ast and it plays so good now! Having the weave space on gravity and more potent ogcds is fantastic for dungeons and divination isnt garbage anymore, especially since I can line it up with the dancer for more burst.
I'm still trying to learn the opener with sleeve draw and lightspeed but I'll get there.

Still rocking AST, although I first leveled DRG. Got WHM to max, as well, and find it easier to play in places like expert roulette, but have been mostly on AST, clearing ex primals and now working on savages with a static.
