Stop calling it a beta

It's not semantics realistically -- Betas are games with none of their completed feature implemented because it's just testing x systems over y period before release -- XIV lacked certain systems and optimization due to being released too early and on an engine not suited for MMORPGs. It's being overhauled currently which isn't a beta.

So semantics would be saying overhaul is another word for beta, which is untrue.

I love how you said testing things. Cause that is totally not what SE is doing right now, changing things around, putting out one patch, seeing it did not go over so well with the community and changing it again to please people, yup, totally not a BETA!

It's not what SE is doing right now, because betas are testing features before release that they've already had completed to make sure it worked.

Overhauling a game is redoing the foundation. Things didn't go over well because the game was rushed out and a lot of things weren't even designed to be implemented, betas have the systems in place and just testing before releasing.

What's being tested now? Nothing -- What they implemented is what they wanted to implement for the update, they aren't "testing" anything, if people keep complaining about stuff and SE keeps changing it, it's because they're changing it based on feedback for the next update.

They're not overhauling the game. They completely redesigning it. They're testing server structure and the new 2.0 engine. The foundations of any game. By the time 2.0 comes out this will be a whole new game with only a storyline left over.
