    This has happened with every expansion, at the start block is nerfed down to less than 20% and just gets stronger as ilvl increases throughout the expansion. If they didn’t do this and our block strength just kept increasing since ARR we’d be up to like 80% block strength by now.

    Even with the nerf a block is stronger than a parry with a low ilvl shield and it’s only going to get better. And with sheltron being as frequent to use as it is PLD is still definitely the sturdiest tank.

    Couldn't have said it better. I calculated it a while back and can't remember the exact numbers but the up-time for sheltron is pretty ridiculous. With how fast the gauge fills up compared to the 6 second duration, your getting that 20% buff a A LOT. I know that some people want to save their Sheltrons for the tank busters and that's fine. They should be. Burst damage and all that. However, non-burst damage is still important.
