I didn't say I couldn't, I said it requires me to run around a lot like a Bard. And at my lvl you can't really play bad.... The mechanics are pretty elementary at this point.
They don't.
Like I said, remove Egi's and let them have temp summons like they do with Bahamut and Phoenix.
Titan could come tank for a moment and give you a shield buff before leaving for example.
Or gain one of their moves like we do Bahamut. I hate Egi's sooo much...

Titan Egi tanking Ramuh Extreme was amaze.
They seem kind of pointless at the moment. They don't.

Hm, someone up above said Titan-egi became useless midway through Heavensward?
I was using it with great success through Stormblood.
Here's the thing - it's a lazy (easy) way to solo hunt. Pick your mob, sic Titan on it, let Titan get in the first couple of attacks, and burn the mob down, while filing your nails. While I was leveling through Stormblood, I never brought out my chocobo, because I didn't want to split the experience.
I made a Keeper of the Lake run, with 1 other DPS and a healer, with Titan-egi tanking. The run was slower, but Titan-egi did the job.
That said -
I *miss* being able to sic Titan on a mob and be certain I won't even scuff my armor; but - I have adapted. Chocobo out; or, circle-strafe Ruin II spam, if I am still feeling lazy and it's not worth hitting a few extra buttons.
I, too, wish Summoner really and truly Summoned... I still remember the Old Days, when I played through FFVII and summoned Shiva for the first time... "DIAMOND DUST!"
You don't need to kite. You should be killing a single target before it manages to reduce you to half health. Unless you're fighting something several levels above you then yeah kiting might be necessary.
