Thrill of Battle is better but that doesn't mean the buff itself is better. Defiance was an 'always on' buff so long as you were in the stance where as Thrill of Battle has a cooldown. That and Defiance also stacked with Convalescence I believe. How it stacked I don't know; was it 20%+20% so you got 40% healing or were they applied separately?

44%, but outside Adlo fishing, Warrior was never in Defiance, and even if they were, it's equivalent to the baseline 20% damage reduction all tanks get now.
