    they missed an opportunity to have gnb have its roots based in garlean lore than with the hrothgar... which i'm a little sad about but meh. prior to shb i was under the impression the job mentor would be a garlean who defected from the empire, came to eorzea and would ultimately teach you what they know. esp considering we've seen variations of it before. (i guess the concept art of it also influenced my thoughts on it), as well as the general direction the story is taking, it kind of made sense to me. i didn't really think it would be a hrothgar but in the meantime, i'll be out here living my best fantasy lol

    I think they're still wrapped in the Empire Bad mentality. Which is a shame.
