Only problem i have with trusts is the experience leveing process to a bit slow. I really hope they buff it in upcoming patches. I will say that Trusts for me have been wonderful otherwise. I'm enjoying them quite a bit.

For what we know them to be, this is one problem I have too...
But I would add a second one. They aren't well programmed to do mechanics without dying. Take Philia in Holminster Switch, for example. When he spams his ground point and tail swipe move, watch all the trusts get the sludge DOT while moving into position... then compound that with them standing dangerously close to the tail swipe AOE, and Uriangier having to do extra healing during that phase because all three trusts got the DOT, and he doesn't move out of the way of the AOE and dies. I will have about one in three runs of that dungeon end in a wipe on that boss because of how the trusts are programmed to do the mechanic.
I've noticed a similar problem when leveling up in my initial run through the story where Ryne in particular will stand in a lot of AOEs especially in Malikah's Well.
It's not good for players wanting to go through the story solo if the trusts can't do the content consistently, and it's a massive time waste for those using them to level up if you wipe on the final bosses at 5% for that same reason. Their AI needs to be tuned a little better to make sure they aren't the cause of a wipe.

For me, it's depended on the dungeon, but Holminster Switch in particular is an issue on the boss I mentioned. Mostly the situation I described where all the trusts get the sludge DOT then the healer trust (I was using Uriangier) gets killed by a tail swipe while trying to heal through the DOT all three trusts picked up, while I did not have the DOT and wasn't taking any damage.
So in that case, it is 100% the trusts coding that creates the wipe, and for me, it happens still in about 1 in 3 runs of that dungeon.
That's odd, I've done that dungeon about 9 runs so far on dps and heals and never had a single trust get smacked by the tail swipe. I run through the sludge myself all the time, but alphinaud has never gotten hit while curing me. The only wipes I've ever had with trusts was on the 2nd dungeon, where you have to block 4 of the 5 beams from reaching the boss. I wiped twice, till I read someone say let all the trusts pick their beams first, then move into yours. (I did die on 1 other occasion, but that was entirely on me and not the trusts, when I didn't realize last boss in last dungeon let you run off the edge :P)

I have them in the higher Qitana Ravel levels, and the only mechanic they seem to get confused about so far is the tethers on the second boss of Dohn Mheg. I wonder if there's something taxing their coding on my end then? Because I regularly see them have issues in Holminster, but never in Dohn Mheg... or really any of the other dungeons so far (Rhyne does have trouble with the Alexander Prime lasers from the final boss in Malikah's Well, but no wipe)Trusts are really solid about doing mechanics. I think it's on a character by character basis. The only one I have ever heard of running through the mid on the last boss of Switch is Urianger (despite me never seeing it myself). The only one that ever struggles with tether in Dohn Mheg is Ryne (she will almost always take the tether that you are at no matter what). I've never had Alphinaud or Ryne get hit with the water geysers, seen Thancred only get hit once, but heard reports of Y'shtola and Alisaie getting whacked pretty bad by them.I wonder if there's something taxing their coding on my end then?
