Emit did tell only the truth to us but he only told some of it. The rest of the story about Emit's story about the function and creation of Zodiark and Hydaelyn was discovered by WoL and the Scions. Thus he did tell only the Truth but he only gave us the parts of it that would benefit him.

Well he DID admit he was tempered, and as we all know tempering tends to shift your views to be favorable towards your primal...

That brings up something else I hope they show in the Original Soul's past being Emit before he became tempered by Zodiark.

I can only guess part of his insanity to worship and depend on Zodiark is due to the Temper effect thus prevents him from seeing any other alternatives that does not require Zodiark and mass sacrifice for Zodiark.

However, his relationship with the original Soul was mentioned to be a positive one and in a certain way brings up a interests to see Emit's friendship with the original Soul and what lead to their separation.

I also would not be surprised if some reason Emit only got involved with Zodiark as a last resort and may have ask the original Soul to kill him if the Temper effect made him into a monster which he did become after Zodiark Temper him.
