They have an ear slider, thus no muscle slider was added. No character has more creation options than others, they just have their options relocated in different places.
I don't think this decision was related to lore at all. If Vieras didn't have ear sliders, I'm sure we'd have gotten the muscle slider, or any other.

Not sure why they felt a need to make our body like this. Its not TOO much of a big deal to me because its not THAT noticeable but you can really see the tone in certain lighting and I don't like it and I'm pretty sure there are others that don't either.
Its still possible for them to just set it to zero though, no matter what most people here will say. I'm PRETTY sure the majority of viera would like if we had a smooth body since a lot of viera players were au ra female, miqo'te and midlander.

I think having it default toned was due to lore; how they picture the race (otherwise why would they make it toned?). Most miqo'te are actually city dwellers I am pretty sure.

Oh, yes, that's true. Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought people meant that the lack of sliders was related to lore.

Any form of sliders have basically reached unicorn status with FF14

It's like when we were asking SE to add more preset faces to the CC and the were like "nope, can't do it. Literally too much work at this stage of life in the game." And those are just presets. Sliders are whatever's above unicorn status.

Please no, I love my Viera just the way she is. She looks athletic and it's glorious.

None of us can say for certain what the majority want, but in my opinion most people who are Viera wouldn't be Viera if they weren't happy with them. SE shouldn't go messing with people's already generated characters.
