I dont believe they have anything that could fight bots away from the server.Yeah the in game GM's are not allowed to do anything about the bots. SE has a separate team for bot busting and bans them in waves to hinder bot creators from finding out how their bots were detected since SE uses mostly an automated system to detect bots. Having humans banning the bots one at a time while nice for optics, is not very efficient. Bots are created pretty fast and SE would need a lot of employees working to keep up, probably. RMT bots use stolen credit cards to buy the accounts so they don't care about the money/subscription lost from a banned bot.
They do nothing this is the truth and are just being lazy, hiding behind bad excuses...
I guess World Visit doesn't exist anymore. Oh wait.
Come back to scream your outrage if you can't get into the zone across all the worlds on your data center. Otherwise you're just not making use of the feature that SE specifically put in to deal with congested areas.
I started playing during ShB early access, and there was one point where I had to port back to the city and go to a different server to advance my MSQ because there were bots zooming around underneath the ground and instantly killing the mobs that I needed for my quest. There was a small area where they spawned and they were literally the only mobs that would give me credit for the quest. I can't believe that GMs aren't allowed to do anything about them - that is beyond ridiculous. If I report someone and a GM gets to my ticket while they're still doing it, why can't they do anything about it? Does it take a "Special Task Force" to see that the party of four level 50 BLM characters with gibberish names who are literally defying the physics of the game are botting?!
Absolutely love this game so far, but it boggles my mind that GMs aren't allowed to intervene in cases of obvious botting. I know that other games use ban waves so the bots don't know how they were caught, but they will still ban on-sight if someone is reported and caught in the act. Square really needs to work on this problem and the game would be a lot better for it.
Oh, "congested areas" I thought it was all about being social, and visiting friends, like the advertisements said.
You seem to underestimate my power, I can be outraged quite easily. So, at what level does world visit unlock? Would a level 1 sprout, trying to start off in the world, be able to just go to another world?
Will that somehow make them look less bad?
I say again, this is a bad image for the game to project. If a new player finds they can't even leave town, due to something being broken, what's the odds that they will stay? You think they are just going to create another character on a new server and start over?

Oh, and I tried to report this problem in the technical forums, but they moved it to general to try to hide it, because they don't intend to fix it.
The gm said, report it in the forum if you want to see anything done.
I did... forum mods move it elsewhere to hide it.

Why do you claim that it's because of a swarming mass of bots that you can't enter South Shroud?
Because Technical Support can't help you with that. They're there to fix technical problems you are having with the client, not any grievance you have with the game.Oh, and I tried to report this problem in the technical forums, but they moved it to general to try to hide it, because they don't intend to fix it.

Well i don't know if it's bots that are causing disruption to Twintania... But the queue has been over 1,000 to even get in game for the past few hours.
I don't mind a 5-10 minute wait at times for queue , But an hour is on the piss taking side..
It's not a technical issue, so that's why it was moved.Oh, and I tried to report this problem in the technical forums, but they moved it to general to try to hide it, because they don't intend to fix it.

I have an alt on Spriggan and its the same I had que of 1500 and can’t zone into a few ARR zones to finish my ninja quest. I’ll try world visit but the bots are a HUGE problem and it’s getting worse.
The GM wasn't wrong though. Visibility on this forum is one of the only ways to actually get grievances noticed by the developers. Whether or not anything comes from posting is a toss up, but a 1% chance is better than 0%.Oh, and I tried to report this problem in the technical forums, but they moved it to general to try to hide it, because they don't intend to fix it.
