Request: Please add trials to Trust as well.

    Background:
I'm a senior player, near 70 years old, and enjoy learning how to do dungeons with trust. I can take my time with patient NPCs, and try over and over again. When I use Duty Finder I get kicked from dungeons and trials by players, and I really don't blame them, because I am very bad--with my slow reaction time, bad memory, and people should NOT be forced to help handicapped players just because they were unfortunate to end up with me in their party due to Duty Finder. They have kicked me many times. And I deserved it due to how bad I am.

To me, it's an injustice to the normal players to have to put up with a handicapped player in game just due to my joining a duty finder.

You may feel I should join a FC, well I have one, and am a leader in hunt linkshells, have many friends, but at the start of a new expansion, most people have many things they need to do for themselves. And I want to learn on my own because it is fun to think through things and experiment. I love to learn! Not to be pampered, and get free wins.

At the moment I feel very fortunate that the Trust system has helped me learn the SBr dungeons with patient NPCs who will not kick me. Except I could not pass Amaurot, for some reason. For some reason, Amaurot has not gotten easier despite I have tried it many times, whereas other dungeons seemed to become easier with each failure. I think the gradual easier mode is good because it encouraged me to keep going till finally I can handle it. Once I can handle the easy mode, hope there can be a button so I can choose to make it a step harder, and I will come back and try again, and again. I like learning how to do these at my own pace, rather than drag a party of real players down. So, I respectfully request SE to add trials to the trust system. It'll be very nice if The Dying Gasp is there so people like me can practice the main story trial. Once I have learned, and have enough confidence, I may start doing duty finder for fun.

Thank you very much for the trust system. This game does need a system to help newer players to catch up in skill to seasoned players. And imho the trust system can help as the game gains more players in future years. Newer or handicapped players will be able to hone their skills before participating in the real Duty Finders.

I'm a little bothered by how trusts prioritize limit breaks. The casters can't get enough of spamming it whilst the only melee never uses it. I thought if I went in as a caster with Ryne that she would do the melee limit break since it's more superior than ranged for single targets but she never uses it.

Urianger is also a bit of a noddy at times for not moving out of AoE. I've seen him standing in it whilst casting nukes and dying as result, what a complete fool.

P.S. Atm I cannot talk to the new tomestone exchange person unless I can finish the trial, and I'm already sitting at the max for last week for my activities scouting, relinking, and combat in hunts. Our dps are not shabby, it's the dungeon/trial mechanics that are tough for older people. Is there at least a way to change the qualification to talk to the tomestone exchange merchant as a quick fix for people like me? I know there are other seniors out there in my situation. In fact, one of them is a very popular leader, who has told me it's looking like quitting time for this game. Many scouters and relinkers are old. But that does not mean we just want to be carried on a dungeon/trial. We are leaders because we like being supportive. Just need the system to support us so we can be supportive. Thank you!

I find that it's mostly Alisaie that uses the LBs, Y'shtola and Ryne don't use LB all that often while she often hits it the moment it fills up.

But for Suggestions, two things really come into mind.
    1. XP gains, doing Holminster Switch and Duhn Mheg for no gear rewards, and limited XP rewards is not fun. If they could atleast make getting past them to 75 for Qitana Ravel easier and faster, that'd be nice.

    2. A button to tell the AI to attack, the AI waits for you to enemies or for you to get close enough to the enemies to wake them up. This is works well enough when playing as a tank, but as a healer or DPS, not so much. If you could tell Thancred to go in and attack it would make him a lot more functional as a tank.

Just started my Trust leveling, did two runs and already I'm feeling run down by the grind. By the time I get them to 80 I will no longer need the gear from the 80 dungeon I'll already have gotten what I need with goetia tomes!

On the plus side one of my trusts finally got knocked out (Y'shtola) Man she rages! " Somebody will pay for this" she says. LOL Mechanics are a thing chica!

I admit, I have a very high tolerance for solo dungeon grinding, so leveling the trusts hasn't bothered me so much. I've so far gotten all of them to 77.

After crunching the numbers, you basically find out that you need 12 runs of each dungeon before you can level any particular trust team into the next dungeon. That's roughly twice as many runs as you need to level yourself, so, you can level two classes up, and rotate to keep things fresh. Swap to the other three trusts, and repeat with two more classes. By the time I get all the trusts to 80, I'll have four classes completely leveled.

Yeah, that's a lot of dungeons... 24 runs per dungeon (minus the 79 one which should need half as much), 6 on each of four classes. Since we only have one tank and two healers, I broke it down into two dps and two tanks. I have a slight method to my madness though. I'm doing these runs on classes I enjoy playing, so they don't bother me as much. The bigger benefit is that once they're all 80, I can level all of the other jobs I don't really enjoy, or don't know well, at a normal pace.

The other reason I'm doing this is basically as a guaranteed way to farm up all of the gearsets I wanted. In all but the most annoying of RNG-based cases, I've gotten every drop for every class. And if I'm missing any, one or two runs with the relevant class will give me auto-drops at the end. Note.. this really only applies to Dohn Mheg and Qitana Ravel, since the gear from the rest of them are all cross-class versions (or identical re-pops, in the case of Mt. Gulg *rolleyes*) of gear we've had for years. A related side benefit to this though.. I've capped my grand company seals a few dozen times on gear turn ins, and am sitting on over two thousand ventures.

I'm also pacing myself, rotating classes, and using this as a way to learn the classes better. I'll maybe do three runs of a dungeon on one class, and call it a day, then do another class the next day. It's slow, but the steady pace is actually much faster and more consistent than I've tended to level things in any previous expansion. Once I get those three runs in, I'll go do some roulettes on other classes to bring them up to 71 so they're ready to go.

Do I wish Trusts leveled at the same rate as me? Absolutely, but I'm looking at this as a benefit that I can get twice as many classes done. There are definitely ways this could be tweaked to be a lot more friendly, and the grind is pretty heinous.. but spread out over a few weeks, it's pretty doable, and I'm actually appreciating the casual leveling /grinding time to learn alternate classes, experimenting with skill setups. It's hard to do that with live parties in the duty finder.

Ya which is why I hope they atleast introduce new ways to level them up without having to grind out the Trust Dungeons such as Missions where they can go off on their own in a certain amount of time and return with X amount of EXP.

This will become more tedious as the game gets older as well with level increase and additions of more Trust Companions.

Just have them add to all Roulettes some Trust XP as an additional reward.

A couple things I want to suggest. Sorry if any are repeats:

    1) I'd really like to have another tank besides Thancred. Perhaps even a female one?
    2) It'd be nice to have a female healer as well.
    3) It'd be nice to have one or more male DPS peeps -- another melee one would be nice, for example.

Just for those situations where you want to have "all girl squad" or "all guy sqaud" because, you know, reasons.

    4) I really, really want to be able to tell them to prioritize a mob. Those gremlins in Holminster's Switch... tanking those things in Trust is a nightmare.
    5) It'd be nice if they all had at least one AoE move they could use every now and again to speed things up just a wee bit. Like Y'shtola's Thunder could be Thunder IV AoE version instead of single target. Ryne might have something silimar to Circle of Scorn on PLD, etc.
    6) While personalities are nice and all, I worry about how it might affect things in the future and hope that you make considerations for them. For example, the final boss of Dohn Mheg. Ryne and Auphinaud walk across that line *very slowly* and barely get to the Finale area in time to do any damage. Fortunately, Alisae runs right over there, Thancred teleports, so does Urianger but he takes forever to do it... Y'shtola is faster than Ryne but she still takes quite a bit of time to get there so if you happen to have picked a slow combo and you're on a low DPS job-- tank or healer-- you might not be able to get it in time. I'm not sure how other dungeons might be, it's the only instance I've noticed that it could really make a difference.

    [Bug]?
Y'shtola and Auphinaud seem to have trouble with the second boss of Dohn Mheg. When coiled ivy comes out, they sit and DPS the boss rather than get themselves out their bindings like others will. I'm not sure it's intentional, but it certainly doesn't seem so because it causes them to eat a Swinge or fail to get to their tether-line-thingy for the growth mechanic. If you use both of them on any given run, I can see you becoming very frustrated with that particular boss.

"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."
