Longstanding saga of my issues with obtaining Shadowbringers Pre-order items

For the Pre-Order, you needed to manually activate the Pre-Order Key they sent you via Mail on an Website, which generated your normal key which you then needed to activate in your Mogry Station.

I have NO Idea why SE is still using License Activation Systems from the early 00 years, but it's ridiculous.

I've heard that when you pre-ordered SHB through the PS4 it was added automatically. Those that pre-ordered through the PC had to activate their key through the steps you've stated above. I'm not 100% sure on this though, as I said, it's what I've heard.

I was not aware - But that's just another point towards "WHY SE?"

It's what SE told me when I asked their customer support, so you are definitely right. I think why I got hosed, as I said above, is that I haven't touched the game after I pre-ordered it till shadowbringers became playable; so it might have been some sort of registration glitch.
