This is kind of how the Matchmaking on All duties and Roulette's is done in FFXIV.
You could be Level 65, and be Matched up with a lv16 sprout in Satasha. Because its set up so that New people can get through the content, with the help of Veterans.
Watching cutscenes that one has watched already dozens of times isn't a time investment. Beating the dungeon is.
If anything, the entitled ones here are the people forcing this on the ones who fill up the queue so they don't have to wait hours to clear the dungeons.
You're being compensated for it, however. SE doubled the amount given since the roulette was changed to entice people into it, and that was already on top of near tripling the amount of experience it offered before hand. You want things to go back to normal? Alright, the exp bonuses won't stay. You shouldn't get 19mil exp at 79 for barely 15 minutes of investment - less so now because the stat weights have skyrocketed since the change was implemented so I wouldn't be surprised if a sub 10 minute Prae would now be possible.Watching cutscenes that one has watched already dozens of times isn't a time investment. I dont mind msq cutscenes since it rewards absurd amount of exp. The only thing i would like them to do is to give more exp for a msq that is before praetorium.
No dude, the Player who's account is from AUGUST 2013 wasn't there, but the March 2019 guy was for sure! You clearly wasn't around before the mandatory cutscene was a thing, because thats EXACTLY how it was, and it was horrible. As i said above, i had no effin clue where to go if i skipped a scene, and if i watched any i was horribly left behind until the skip ahead tp popped up. All that coupled with people bitching about you watching a scene and no one telling you where to go was the worst experience.
Main MSQ was not made for higher lvls to do lower end content, it was made to help new players get through content that otherwise higher lvled players would ignore, thats why you get a exp bonus for doing those. Forceing people to just skip and " you can watch cutscenes on your own time" mentality is selfish considering you should be joining it with the idea you are helping lower lvls to get caught up with the incentive that you are getting exp/tomes.
Reminder that Main Scenario Roulette used to give 100 poetic tomes when you could skip cutscenes. They boosted it to 300 to make up for the fact that you can't skip them.
As i said, iv been plating since before the game released..
You do realize that you dont automatically get an account added here just because you have an account with the game right? I had no reason to really join the forums back then.
Nope, Prae's cutscene and total playtime included is like 30 minutes or more. Someone recorded the cutscene time at reddit for this.
But doesn't really affect me that much though, I just alt-tab to google while waiting.
What made me wondering is the speed the cutscene ended for each person. Sometimes during the same cutscene my friend was already out while I was still in the cutscene. This can also reversed on the next day which I finished the cutscene before my friend...kinda wierd.

Ah, thanks for the correction! It's been so long I mixed up Castrum and Prae's run times. xDNope, Prae's cutscene and total playtime included is like 30 minutes or more. Someone recorded the cutscene time at reddit for this.
