SE: Can we get back skip cutscene in Main Scenarios?

Do people not understand that MSQ duty finder is to help people that havent done older content, get said older content done? Iv been playing since before launch, and i remember getting to that part and seeing everyone just skipping everything, going certain paths, ignoreing certain enemies and any cut scene that came up, i was thoroughly left begind. Hell, i was stuck for the longest at the part where you jump in the garbage container or what ever it was, because i didnt know where to go because that was one i skipped cause people were bitching in chat.

I tried to watch a few others, skipping certain parts and missed out on how to get the mech, because people complained for me to get on elevator, when the skip ahead tp popped up, i was running on foot and was so confused as to where people got the mech from.

That was horrible for my first time and i would never want anyone to go through that.

Something I've been thinking about is that if no one in the group is a "first timer" it will allow skipping of cutscenes. If not, cutscenes are locked and can't skip them.

The issue is that some people worry, and rightly so, that any newcomer who ends up in the roulette will be chastised for making the roulette take longer than it should. Imagine loading in, thinking you're in for a fifteen minute Prae run only to find out it's now going to take an hour because someone is new. That's going to endear resentment no matter how nice people try to be about it.

About the only way I think cutscenes should be skippable is if you make a party finder to do these dungeons - as there are people in the community who are new who don't care about the story at all. Other than that you know what you're signing up for when you queue for the roulette and are compensated accordingly for your time.

Why not simply let the Cutscenes run and everyone else continue playing? Sure, you will lose the epic Bossfights because they will be done when you are done with the Cutscene, but at least you can enjoy the horrible boring dialogues inbetween. And when people progress too fast, simply queue the cutscenes together and make the newbie watch a movie, while the rest rushes through.

Not doing the MQS Roulette isn't an option for many, since it easily provides you 50% of a level and during the level phases (especially after a AddOn release) this would take WAY longer in any other way you could attempt to achieve it.

What I usually do is get something to eat while doing the MQS Roulette, stop eating inbetween the cutscenes and usually, the cutscenes are long enough to finish your meal. alternatively, youtube.

That was how it used to be and it's what caused this change in the first place. If they did this as well the amount given for the roulette would be decreased to what it used to be, as you're no longer being compensated for your time. Prae used to take 15 minutes tops. Castrum was barely shorter than that. If they revert to how things used to be that sweet exp bonus is not going to stay.

It should however be common knowledge that when someone queues using a Duty Finder anything can happen.
One should not sign up for a random dungeon with random people expecting a certain outcome.
Sadly people don't care though.

You clearly wasn't around before the mandatory cutscene was a thing, because thats EXACTLY how it was, and it was horrible. As i said above, i had no effin clue where to go if i skipped a scene, and if i watched any i was horribly left behind until the skip ahead tp popped up. All that coupled with people bitching about you watching a scene and no one telling you where to go was the worst experience.

Main MSQ was not made for higher lvls to do lower end content, it was made to help new players get through content that otherwise higher lvled players would ignore, thats why you get a exp bonus for doing those. Forceing people to just skip and " you can watch cutscenes on your own time" mentality is selfish considering you should be joining it with the idea you are helping lower lvls to get caught up with the incentive that you are getting exp/tomes.

Oh HECK no? Do you realize how much more exp Prae gives? I HATE it when I get CM when I do my daily MSQ Roulette while I'm trying to level my other classes... with a PASSION. I can live with the cut scenes for that sweet sweet leveling exp. Y'all just need to slow down and deal with it. Get a drink, watch some netflix. Relax.
